The other findings in that NBC poll… definitely not good news for trump, aside from his lowest support in any poll since Harris entered the race.

If Kamala was up 4-5% she wouldn’t be begging for a second debate. You have a 1 point and tied polls in VA and Kamala has recently campaigned there. That doesn’t equate to a 5 point lead.

2 prior elections with huge polling misses and people still put validity into this.

I don’t think the 4 or 5 points in the polls really mean that much. Most of the polls are in the margin of error.
Trump would have beat Biden easily. The difference in the polls is people like Harris more than Biden. There is a big change from July in the support between Biden and Harris. 5 to 7 points can be explained or written off by the questions asked or who is doing the polling. Harris is +23 points from July with 18-34 year olds, black voters is up +21 points, and women voters is +10.
Hispanic is the same at 55% to 38% Biden over Trump and Harris 55% to 35%.
That’s why this will be a close election. Harris getting back most of the Democratic base and donors they lost over the past 18 months.

In terms of predicting the winner of the presidential election, a national poll is meaningless as the popular vote winner in the election. It doesn’t matter, it’s not how we elect the president. Accurate swing state polls are what matter.

Not at all. I voted for Trump in ‘16, ‘20, and plan to vote for him in ‘24. He’s the better choice IMO.
However, like a majority of fellow conservatives that watched, I was incredibly frustrated Trump still isn’t able to avoid taking the bait and continues to shoot himself in the foot, giving his enemies lots of ammo to make him look mentally unstable unfortunately. Holding my breath it doesn’t come back to bite him.
