For those who doubt her (I have no idea how you could with all the things we’ve learned recently) but she is a former high level federal official in the bush admin and currently is a Sallie Mae board member as well as a current partner at Dylan Reed.
So she 100% has credibility.
I’d like to add that we have trillions and trillions missing which I’m sure some went to politicians but to say it’s all or even most was grift would mean we’d have tthousand Elon Musk level billionaires as former politicians

I mean it is possible things were built decades ago
I honestly think it would be pretty irresponsible to for a government not to be building giant underground facilities for a varierty of reasons like government continuation, security, confidential project development and testing (specially with the prevalence of satallite imagery), etc. If you every anticipate the space would be used for extended living periods like government continuation you would assume that would also imply that some of these facilities contain things like underground farming, medical storage, hospitals, living quarters, etc
