Get that from CNN, MSNBC? You have no idea what the vaccine can/will do or the long term effects, but hey you go ahead, let me know how that works out for you.
I've taken the first moderna shot
Surprisingly I'm not dead

I have and its worked pretty well so far.
I am not for "forcing?" anyone to do anything. But, this fear of the vaccine is silliness and reeks of "the other 'side' is an enemy" thinking

I can't believe a rational person would ask that question.

From a sniffle that has a survival rate of 99.95.
You know if you never leave your house you increase your odds of survival too.
Ironic username is ironic.

Human Immune system has a far greater track record. I’ll go with it thanks.

We should take a vaccine based on lockdown restrictions?
What science book can I find this in?

The spread in many states slowed without one though.
And some states are seeing an uptick now with one.

Slow the spread to whom?
People who also decided not to get vaccinated? Their choice, their risk.
People who got vaccinated? They’re vaccinated, they can’t get it.

Groovy. Polio, Measles, small pox, etc have all been around for a while.
I am not mad at you. But, "I will let the human immune system work" is a bit odd. Human biology can handle my headache, too...but, I'll take advil to give it a little boost.
I'm not an advocate. I am libertarian. You do you. I am happy to have had the chance to jump the line and get the vaccine early.

The lockdowns are due to the virus known as Democrat’s. Just saying.

I have asked fof linked studies on this repeatedly so I can assess what long term effects (if any) may occur. So far - zip. Instead I have gotten a whole lot of “short term” studies, you don’t need a study...trust us, and “You must be a commie antivaxxer! (I’m not).
My response is pretty much the same in every one of these threads:

Until I know more about the effects of mRNA, I will pass. I just don’t see it as necessary for a virus that has had minimal effects (I had Covid) as far as I can tell. For those stating that I don’t know the long term effects of Covid, that is true. However, I didn’t choose to get Covid so the long term effect is a moot point. Additionally, I had Covid before the vaccine was available to me, so again, a moot point. At this point, concerning the vaccine, I just don’t see the need to get it without knowing more in terms of long term issues. If someone else chooses to get a vaccine, cool. But (at least at this time) I will pass.

bullshite. For the last 15 months, I have visited 14 states, stayed over 100 nights in hotels, and driven from coast-to-coast, even shown up in DC Capital on Jan. 6. In fact, I haven't had a single day without getting out the house. Nothing has stopped me working, hiking, going to beaches, and playing golf. Tested once negative and never have any symptom. I am not going to take the shot for a while. You are telling me I'm the one spread the virus? Get a life.

the "spread" was already slowing. At this point I'm not sure we are still at pandemic levels of infection. Anyone know what metrics define a pandemic other than multiple countries. Looking at the latest numbers I would no longer consider Covid to be an epidemic in this country.

While I agree with the general point of your post, the part i quoted isn’t true. “Vaccinated” people can absolutely still get the virus, they just don’t get as sick as those who aren’t vaccinated. They can still transmit the virus as well (which is why they ask “vaccinated” people to still wear a mask).

Sure. Measles is still around. Killed 140,000 kids last year. 207,500 total.
I’m not a Luddite. But I also know the difference between those horrific diseases which kills kids and one like Covid that leaves kids relatively safe.
I don’t begrudge anyone who gets vaccine. But if a vaccine is the bees knees against a horrific pandemic then I would think it wouldn’t require so much marketing in order to sell it.

What are you yelling about? We have a vaccine and cases still rose in some states. the ones that had stricter and longer mandates. So how is the vaccine slowing the spread in those states? Because its not.
