re: Can someone tell me how people who won't take the vaccine are prolonging the pandemic?

I've taken plenty of vaccines. I refuse to take this one because it pisses off the branch covidians.

I've had the virus and haven't had a cough.
I had it and it actually took the edge off my usual, Winter, bronchial cough.

Same.

I guess it boils down to whether you'd prefer to get immunity protection from a vaccine or whether you'd like to take your chances of infection
It is that simple.
I may never get covid.
If I get the vaccine I am 100% taking a chance on it and it’s possible unknown complications.

The Google is saying different in michigan texas arkansas. So some people at least are still contracting and spreading it despite what cdc is saying about the impossibility of that happening

Just follow the science...its well documented.....
Or not. Hell, just shoot up that vaccine...its longterm effects have been known for years...
Or not...
Damn.

and pass it.
This is still being studied at this time and thus this statement may or may not be true. Therefore it is incorrect to say this.

The longer it takes to achieve herd immunity, the more chances of more variants developing. Eventually, there's a good chance a really bad variant will happen.

But the effects of RNA have been known for years and we have numerous viruses weve used this on with great success.
Wait, wut?

Herd Immunity
What percentage of people have to be immune for society to reach herd immunity?
General consensus is we reach it when 70% are immune. It is also my understanding that far less than 70% need the vaccination to be immune, because so many already have natural immunity. So let's say we reach Herd immunity when 60% have had the vaccination. That means we should have Herd immunity right around the time we have vaccinated 200 million people, which should be by mid-May.
What am I missing?

lol the founder of Pfizer is saying that everyone that takes the vaccine will be dead within three years. I'm going to pass.
“I’m very worried … that pathway will be used for mass depopulation, because I can’t think of any benign explanation.”

This is very unlikely.
There are over 100 variants already. This is normal and happens in viruses as they replicate. Each time the virus weakens.
This is established science.
On top of that, most likely there will be enough changes in the genetic code that the present day vaccines will be either ineffective or noneffective.
This is why we have different flu shots each year as new strains present themselves.

The hype and subsequent tyrannical reaction to this thing have in no way matched the casualty level they tried to make us believe was coming.
Sorry, fool me once....

At this point, you have to be incredibly stupid to not know what herd immunity is, or how it is achieved.
You so smart!
Now, we will reach 70%, which is needed for Herd immunity very soon - without having to force people who don't want it to take it. And we will reach it while giving vaccinations as fast as we possibly can. We'll probably reach 90% who will either be vaccinated or have natural immunity by summer.
So I don't need to take it for us to reach herd immunity. So tell me again, how am I slowing us down, smart guy?

Is this sarcasm? If not, please provide a link to the successful use mRNA in the treatment of viruses.

I'm pretty sure his saying "wait, wut" was a signal that he was being sarcatsic...

It's not my job to NOT make other people sick or protect them.

You were doing well until here. This is actually looking less likely because coronaviruses aren't like flu viruses.
