Can someone explain how can Harris be the DNC nominee?

I mean nobody voted for her in the primaries. So how is this legal? Just because Biden announced he isn't running against Trump, how can she just be inserted without a people's vote?

A. People willing to challenge her and launch a campaign in very short notice.

The parties aren't bound by any laws in how they select their candidate. The primaries are just the standard tradition and what their rules state is the process.

So basically if someone like Bernie wanted to run against Kamala there would be another primary but since no one will oppose her, they just insert her? She wouldn't have won against 2/3 other people who would have ran against her tbw. This is very staged if u asked me. It all started with the Biden debate failure.
