Our city attorney stopped us. He told us that under state law, we'd be the ones in violation. Not the traffickers. Us. And it wouldn't be me who paid for it. It would be the officer who actually knocked on that door. He'd be charged. He'd lose his pension. He'd lose his livelihood.

So we did the reasonable thing. We wrote to Sacramento and asked the Attorney General to help us find a way. One question: can we go check on these kids?

The answer came back in writing. No.

I keep that response because people don't believe me when I describe it. They think it's hyperbole, or politics, or some wild-eyed conspiracy theory. It isn't. It's a letter. It's the state of California telling a police department to leave trafficked children where they are.

It happened in my town. I have no reason to believe my town is unique

Those kids are with their primo, man! Who the parents have never met, the child doesn't know, but it's family, man!

This is easy. Go get the kids. Arrest the perps. And force the state and local government to do a damn thing about it with an entire nation watching.

You think that idiot governor and state AG, with presidential and other national aspirations, is going to come out and chastise this rescue of sex trafficked minors?

When it comes to children, you take whatever hell you’re going to catch. I couldn’t look at myself in a mirror know I put my pension over a child’s life.

Seems light a traffic stop for no blinker, with kids in car, could facilitate questions and detainment..

Or a anonymous call from a concerned parent

Just rescue the children and then completely do not cooperate with any questions from city attorney, etc. just play dumb, provide nothing, etc. what are they going to do about it if the whole police department plays along?

ICE should be sent to investigate as many of those kids are probably illegals.

At some point, men with guns need to decide to supersede men with pens.

I can only hope there's something, anything, on the "other" side of this story that would make it make sense.
But don't misread my hope .... I fully believe those Marxist Dems in control of California and other states are capable of this.

Folks, some don't like to hear this, but at it's core our struggle is good against evil.
The sooner more folks understand this, the sooner we can effectively fight back.

Unfortunately, in these present times, many can only see and understand what their senses tell em.

quote:

Ephesians 6:12

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

I’m assuming the Mayor had his choice for city attorney. I have no idea what the issues are behind this but his own attorney apparently agrees with the state attorney general on the legal issues.

If you're gonna make that claim you damn well need to show the letter in its entirety. I know that we've had statewide vice operations specifically targeting this type of activity earlier this year. God forbid the state gave the direction as described.

quote:

“On Wednesday, January 18,2026, as part of National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, the Fresno Police Department participated in a statewide VICE operation targeting human traffickers, sex purchasers, and men meeting minors for sexual acts. The operation resulted in multiple arrests, with two suspects arrested for arriving to meet minors for the purpose of engaging in sexual acts. Both suspects were booked into the Fresno County Jail for attempted lewd acts with a child under the age of 14 and for contacting a minor with intent for sex.

The following agencies assisted in the operation: Special Operations Finding Kids, the Department of Homeland Security (HSI), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), the Clovis Police Department, and the Axis Hotel Group. The Fresno County District Attorney’s Office has assigned a Deputy District Attorney Nicole Idiart to the VICE team.

We are thankful for the relationship with Breaking the Chains (BTC), and Central Valley Against Human Trafficking (CVAHT). The Fresno Police Department is dedicated to the prevention of these sexually motivated criminal offenses, as well as Human and Labor Trafficking not only during National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, but throughout the entire year.

Anyone with information regarding Human Trafficking can contact Crime Stoppers and remain anonymous by calling Crimestoppers at 559-498-STOP. You can also contact the Fresno Police Department’s Human Trafficking Hotline at 559-621-5950.”
