Cherokee here. Trail of Tears was no joke.

Native Americans definitely got the short end of the stick historically, but these days aren't they immune to most laws and taxes if they move to a reservation?

It's racist... sounds like you're okay with racism?

It’s not racism in the slightest. Reparations has always been the means to get this country to come to terms with slavery, Jim Crow, mass incarceration, etc.

So let me see if I understand... you think once reparations are given that will be the end of it? I don’t see this turning out as you expect. Who is to say what enough reparations is in the first place? More more more will be the common theme.

On the Brilliant Idiots podcast (Andrew Shultz & Charlamagne tha God) they were talking about reparations and Charlamagne said he doesn't support the government just straight up giving black people money, I am paraphrasing, but he pretty much said because a lot of them (his words, he is a black dude) would just spend the money on stupid shite.

He said if the government wanted to allocate funds into some of the poor black communities to fund some type of program that would allow those kids to have access to some type of father figure or a everyday male person (not a celebrity or something) to look up to, that would be cool, but if this is about giving them money this would be the stupidest thing ever.

2. Why don't you check and see if the United States government gave reparations to the Japanese...

I believe we delivered them reparations for Pearl Harbor on Aug 6th and Aug. 9th, 1945.....if memory serves me correctly

So when are they giving reparations to the Chinese and Japanese

Japanese got reparations for the WWII interment camps.

Also, I'm completely against reparations for blacks, but this...

who were treated even worse

No. Just no. Blacks have been treated far worse in the U.S. for a longer period of time compared to Asians. That shouldn't even be a question.

The fact that people are literally expecting to sit around and do nothing and get paid for their entire life is unreal. What sort of mentality are they trying to create?

This idea is practiced around us all the time, it’s just presented differently. People can call it alimony or reparations. The principle is the same.

If Cali passes reparations and you are an African American, do you move for the money? What do you do?
Do you sue Cali for not paying enough?

We’ll take the businesses but sure as hell don’t need more California employees moving here while continuing to vote like they still live on the Left Coast.
