Looks like they are trying to reduce their population. Those folks in the northern part of the state are going to freeze to death.

What is WRONG with these people?

Texas is building the world's largest solar farm in Fort Bend County. Eventually solar, wind energy and the one existing nuclear power plant will supplant fossil fuels in meeting the energy requirements in that state.

If carbon justice can be achieved in conservative, red Texas, then it should be easy as cake to achieve the same in a more mainstream milieu such as California.

That has the same odds of helping low income and disadvantaged as does Biden inflation reduction bill.

We had them in the bathrooms in the home I grew up in, and we had a houseful of kids. You lit them with matches. Never a threat of blowing up the house. Of course, we weren't a family of idiots.

It’s fascinating (in a horrifying way) to see a once great state literally off itself.

I don't think you have been watching the moves of Texas after the winter storm Uri debacle.

They may be building more renewables but there is a movement afoot to require an equal amount of fossil built to back up solar and wind when nature takes them away.

That said, I do like the way the Uniwave 200 system works. Uniwave 200 completes year long test.

That would be fantastic along the Texas coast, with the daily seabreeze fronts that are a typical feature in early summer, and the tropical systems later in the summer and early fall. What would be better is if there were a way to store accumulated energy.

Wasn’t natural gas supposed to be a clean alternative only a decade ago, if not less? Natural gas buses were all the rage in metro Atlanta.

The electricity produced, in Columbia SC, is made by turbines at Lake Murray. Guess what fuel source the turbine uses... natural gas.

what's the point of the turbines being located at Lake Murray?

if they use natural gas to run the turbines why have it near Lake Murray?

California will eventually be all wealthy elite and homeless junkies. No middle class whatsoever and that’s the point.
