There is so much overlap with religions (for obvious reasons) that I don't understand why you feel it's impossible for an individual to permit that overlap into their lives and beliefs.

I look at it as a delaying action no matter what.
Can’t appoint new committee heads or apportion membership but you CAN stymie things like Ukraine aide that the majority of the GOP doesn’t want, at least until the Dems get back to 50+1.

There's no doubt Newsom will choose a true Democrat to replace Feinstein, who acquired a significant reputation as a moderate Democrat over the decades.
