Buzbee is impressive. Prepared, very quick on this feet and smooth as an oiled boob

Maybe he is, but I think even I would have no problem defeating them if they said a kitchen was remodeled and I had before and after pictures that showed otherwise.

Exposing that the re-model was not some quid pro quo deal for Paxton is not outstanding attorney work, it is just obvious lack of evidence that is easy to expose.

Or Paxton is smart enough to hold off on remodels so it doesn't look suspicious.

I'm sure there is probably some stuff that Paxton may have done but the timing and the shadiness of the accusers are not without their own shadiness.
Paxton has been a fighter for the state during covid and open borders and the DOJ/FBI is all too happy but to go after him with the current admin in the WH.

The metadata was certainly acceptable, we use to allow photos with the yellow date-stamps in evidence back in the day, this is the 21st century version of the same thing.

The question is - can the date be manipulated? The answer is- almost anything can.

The lawyer choked because the picture with the date stamp was already in evidence. Not sure which witness was used to admit that evidence, but the significance of the date of the photo was likely evident even then, and they should have paid more attention to the date then. Once it got in evidence, its hard to allow any discussion, and that judge wasnt even thinking about it.

Now what they need to do is get the original photo in the State law trial and have an expert opine on the authenticity of the date.

Busbee might not be so cocky then.

Seems like they followed the Democratic Party game plan. Invent crimes out of the ether, and simply accuse your opponent, without any worry of gathering actual evidence.

Buzbee needs to be US Solicitor General in the next Trump Administration.

Paxton can be US Attorney General.

When Buzbee sprung that one on Wicker (the kitchen pictures past and present), the Paxton impeachment was dead on arrival.

IMO for centuries to follow legal scholars will reference this trial and Buzbee's amazing performance as the model for jurisprudence. And I don't think I'm exaggerating.

Buzbee collapsed their case - made them look like first-year law students.

Or they can just go over to the house and look at the kitchen.

The female lawyer thought she had a "gotcha" when she said the picture could have been fabricated by a child. I was thinking exactly what Buzbee was thinking. Let's all load up in the car and go over to the house and look at what is real. Boom!

Buzbee is a big reason why the cost of doing business is high in Texas. He demands obnoxious amounts for his clients, some of which are not injured at all.

Auto accidents ought not cost 10’s of millions.

The entire case was based on “Impeach him now and we’ve got the goods!”

Turns out there was no “there” there and that the Speaker better get fricking fired for shoving this through.
