Not what I was getting at ... connecting the dots on the motive behind the targets ...or we're just going to get:
Guy goes crazy, chooses a random Economics study hall to shoot up a Physics classroom ...

Cause crazy ... I mean, sure, crimes like this happen all the time.
Brown: that Econ class has a well known Jewish (and pro-Jewish) professor. He assumed he was conducting the planned study hall but it was the TA and not the professor himself. Unloads on students either when they panic to get past him to the doors. Cook may have been main target; as a pro-Palestinian protester she would have been known to him as VP of Republican group with minimal homework.
MIT: Jewish professor who is very pro-Israel and as head of the plasma physics dept. would have definitely worked on US gov't contracts; likely that several were in partnership with Israel and that is publicly sourceable through grant information.
Don't forget the BDS movement (boycott, divest, and sanction) is a pillar of the pro-Hamas cult as well as being openly supported by some Congressmen. Both these professors would qualify.

my theory on the homeless guy (the second guy he ran from) is that the homeless guy noticed him hanging around (remember- he was roaming around on basically 6 streets for over 5 hrs.) and he either started following him or harassing him out of sheer boredom/attention.
The incident that was caught on tape of Suspect running away was 2 hrs. before shooting and thus was 3 hrs. into him roaming around. Suspect was just trying to shake him because he caught his attention and was following him around.

I assumed he would prefer to be caught so he could get his platform (or so he thought) and spout his BS to the cameras & in court.
Pays to remember, not everybody is mentally equipped to be on the run.
This guy was probably dumb enough and acting out of sheer emotion (hate) that he used the same gun for both murders. Meaning in hours they knew it was the same guy after running rifiling, turn, and crimp ballistics.
