AlterEd,
You are correct about Hindus in that they do embrace all religions and believe in one God.
Many believe Jesus lost years were spent in India studying the Hindu and Buddhist religions, hence some of the similarities with Christianity. Of course "modern scholars" have dismissed this theory.......although they have no reason why, nor any proof of where Jesus was.

Haga,
The irony of you posting this "idol" is quite hilarious. That is a statue of Lord Hanuman. He is the great protector and healer. Not just from things external but from yourself internally as well.
Perhaps you unwittingly posted him to help you with your internal bitterness.........

I think maybe God has better things to do than worry about people building statues of Hanuman.

Okay I'll say it. Go ahead America hand the U.S.Congress and the Oval office to the traitorous democrats and watch them turn America into another Mecca.
You know I'm right.

The ones who work in IT are around 95% worthless. I have worked with probably close to a hundred of them in my career and only found 2 to be worth their pay.
If they’re truly exceptional, then sure, let them come though like any real immigrant, let them become fully American, cultural and otherwise.
What I’m saying here is that I do think they are capable in a lot of ways but let them stay in India and build up their country instead of coming here and taking jobs away from Americans.

I love it how Fred from Monroeville Alabama tells me what God wants and hates.
We are sending humans farther into the galaxy than ever before (and it doesn't come close to the scope of God's creation), and Fred from Monroeville is the guy who can tell us with certainty the meaning of life.

Ok. You don’t want them taking jobs.
But what I am saying is there is no need to disparage hard working Indian Americans in the process.
And if you have a problem with Trump not shutting down the H1B visa program - (whatever his motivation is) - then that is a different story imo.

Value our culture and assimilate or leave

You keep painting "them" as hard working as a rule. That is presenting facts not in evidence. Many of us point out the exact opposite.
Yes, many of them will "work" 14 hour days composing barely understandable emails, changing project objectives, lying about progress, learning on the job when they were supposed to be experts, etc. for nine months on end. For a job I could do in eight weeks.
Working "hard" is the convenience store variety, not the IT variety for the most part.

No you are just presenting anecdotes.
I can present many anecdotes of the best doctors in the Houston Med Center.
Top scores on exams. Best worded emails in the class.

I would like to see it cut at least in half. I don't mind bringing in new people into this country but they have to be worthy and they have to do it the right way. And their men should serve at least 4 years in the Army or Marine Corps. I think that's fair.

Yes there is. They're not as hard working as you might think. Mexicans to a man work 10x harder.

Every single word of this.
They are mostly pretty bad. I'd much rather give an American the chance to do this before bringing in one of these halfway around the world to do it.

You must be Indian to go to bat for them this hard. Or must be close to them. I admire that kind of loyalty in a way but in the numbers that they are here, they should be sent back over *there*.

Would these standards also be applied to US workers working overseas on similar visa programs?

For the slow people in the back. And it's not one case, it's not three projects, it's dozens of projects and hundreds of people worth of "anecdotes."

If you are, then praise God for such a mercy! But if you are not, I urge you to do so today, for we do not know the hour when our souls will be required of us, and as soon as we die, the offer of salvation expires.
