It's going to be a shitshow. The fact that Adam Schiff is involved tells you everything.

So, if they would impeach Barr does it still go to Senate for trial ? And would this also open up defense subpoena authority ? Not that this Senate would convict anyway

Bingo. People are getting impeachment and removal confused at times. I liken an impeachment to an arrest warrant. Then you go to the Senate for your trial.

How does that change things? Third party candidates never win. Look at the two independents in the Senate. Always siding with the Dems doesn't make them a different voice of reasoning.
