I hate that they kowtowed to the leftists over opening up their ranks to girls and how they altered their position on homosexuals, but it sounds like they've been acting like the Roman Catholic church for a long time:

Look at all these people missing the point. Boy Scouts bent the knee hoping it would make the left like them. It didn’t work. Today the left celebrates the bankruptcy.

A school friend of mine from way back is part of multiple generations of Eagle Scouts in his family. As an adult he still participated, but the last straw for him was when the BSA began accepting homosexuals as troop leaders.
His son will be the last Eagle Scout from his family.
The left destroyed the best youth program in the country, with allies at the top levels of the BSA.

Good grief you are clueless and completely missing the point. This bankruptcy was completely caused by decades old abuse cases. It had nothing to do with their changing policies. Individual Councils and Units fund themselves and this is all about the National Organization having to pay possibly millions in settlements.

The Girl Scouts have never had a problem with gay leaders. A lot of lesbians in that organization. They don't like the Boy Scouts allowing girls, because they think it will hurt their membership.

The vast majority of outdoor related youth activities are in decline. For example, the number of hunting license sold in the US decreases each year.
Almost two generations of kids who would rather sit on a couch and watch TV, play video games or stare at their phones.

Gays were permitted in 2015...vast majority of the suits pre-date the acceptance of teh gays.

Very true. Our Troop is doing a Wilderness Survival Camp Out the Weekend for the Merit Badge and it's going to be interesting to see how some of our newer and younger Scouts that are hooked on tech handle this one.
We actually have a rule of no tech at camp outs. We collect the phones and secure them. If they have an emergency they can call.
