This is the problem with you keyboard warrior types. No sense of actual causality when you have the chance to hammer headline sensationalism.
Letting gays and girls into the scouts was not the source of the bankruptcy. At all. The source was a dumpster truck full of decades old sexual assault lawsuits stemming from events that happened well before gays and girls were allowed.
If anything, the scouts started allowing gays and girls in precisely because they were in financial trouble and needed to increase their revenue. Allowing these groups into their organization was the attempted solution to their financial woes, not the cause of it.
Now please stop making rational people defend the left by being just as disingenuous as they are. It’s incredibly self defeating.

The lawsuits are like the common cold that kills the AIDS patient. AIDS destroys the immune system, so it can no longer fight off common ailments. While AIDS doesn’t directly kill you, it weakens the body so something else (that you otherwise would have easily recovered from) becomes lethal.

Here are the annual reports for the Boy Scouts of America
Scroll down to the portion of each report where it describes revenue. You’ll see that 2018 (the most recent year with data available) saw revenues before investments climb to an all time high of 232.4 million dollars. For comparison, that number was at 158.2 million in 2012.
Any Obama policies caused at most a marginal dent in the BSA revenue stream. It didn’t cripple it like the spreading of AIDS as your nonsensical example claimed. Program revenue is not the current problem. Shitty investments and rising costs are. And the cost problem is coming almost entirely from the pedo lawsuits.
BSA unfortunately did this to themselves.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the Left wanted to destroy the BSA to lure boys (and girls) into a newly formed organization that will be not unlike the Nazi party's brownshirts.

Where do people gets these ideas, the abuse happened long before gays were allowed to be scout leaders, and most if not all of the abusers were married men with families as is typical for pedophiles.

There is something that a lot of people talking about this need to understand. I am sure there are some in here who do.
Boy Scouts filing ch 11 has nothing to do with local councils(if they are run correctly). For instance, our council(Evangeline) is completely safe. No real estate, or finances are tied into the national offices. We are basically self run, self financed. So whatever is going on with the national office, has zero impact on us.

One of the main reasons they decided to be more inclusive was not because they suddenly got a conscience but because they were struggling so much financially, in no small part because of sexual misconduct allegations.
They probably made a miscalculation in regards to losing the mormons vs trying to gain normal boy and girls but mormons are a bunch of bullies and you cant let a minority dictate the agenda for the majority.

Enacted stuff that you knew would lose you 20% of your membership at the snap of a finger is pretty stupid, which is what BSA did by bowing to the left on the inclusion bullshite...

I am trying to find the problem with this. Are girls and gays not allowed to enjoy the outdoors? And learn the values they teach and learn what they learn about the outdoors and camping activities. Just curious about that. I don't have any girls of my own, I am curious as to what the girl scouts and brownies do vs what the boy scouts do. Maybe the boy scout councils are more fun than selling cookies outside of walmart. Just wondering about that. We have several girls in our council, and I never found it strange, just glad we have kids in it. My work buddy has his two daughters in scouts and they have a blast, nobody seems to care that they are girls. Not sure why a loud minority of people seem to have a problem with kids enjoying themselves. It's harmless.
