People like Kari Lake and Vivek are litmus tests for just how stupid the right is.
Either former Dems like Lake that said "Not my president" and didn't switch until like 2019 because they saw the maga money train and just how stupid the electorate was
or just as bad, someone that donated to Dems, has a Soros Fellowship, ran a BIG pharma pump and dump scheme, said some outrageous things about covid lockdowns in 2020 (wanted to lockdown HARDER), wrote in his book in 2022 just how heinous j6 was...then changed his tune after scrubbing his entire social media history and says completely different things 6 months later.
We are truly stupid on the right. We deserve it.

I think this board would benefit from a serious discussion on "establishment" - that term is like "racism" now, it's used a so many different ways that it has no meaning.

This is the problem. The establishment of the GOP needs the base and the base to a lesser extent needs the establishment especially in terms of money.
The establishment like McConnell would rather work with a Democrat than someone like Kari who is opposed to MIC and U.S. Chamber of Commerce policies.
Now, how is McConnell not a grift and Kari is?

It's really up to AZ but maybe she is too much of a lightening rod. Maybe AZ needs a candidate that can be sold to MAGA that he can't be bought and will fight against MIC and U.S. Chamber of Commerce policies and can be sold to the establishment that he/she will support MIC and U.S. Chamber of Commerce policies.
Who could be such a two-faced GOP candidate be so they can win?
