Crude dropped to $90 a barrel today.
Wonder why?

I like how you pick today to look at the market you probably never check and not the days since everyone released their Q3 earning reports.
Yesterday was a fluke in the rise.
The AI bubble is fixing to burst and everything in the market is in response to that and now speculating towards the future of slowing down server infrastructure building in the US.
I watch the market daily. Last 5% nasdaq drop was the tariff day in April of 2025. Why suddenly today? Perhaps because democrats started opening their mouths about their plans?

Congrats comrades!
There are a lot of DSA voters who view the equity markets as a symbol of US imperialism/capitalism.......which they loathe.

Politics are a primary driver of this week's market volatility. Investors initially cheered the post-election certainty, but quickly began selling off stocks as they weighed the long-term policy impacts of the new Democratic majorities in Congress.
Specifically, the market is reacting to two major political developments:
Fear of Tech Regulation: The incoming congressional majority is expected to heavily scrutinize artificial intelligence safety, corporate data center expansion, and antitrust issues. This directly triggered today's sharp selloff in major technology and semiconductor stocks.
Impending Debt Ceiling Battles: Financial analysts have warned that a divided government sets the stage for high-stakes political friction over the 2027 U.S. debt ceiling, which historically sparks heavy market anxiety.
This is not why. You need to get better at prompting and also not relying on a sequential token generator to tell you how to speculate about the markets.

So I would argue that a huge portion of this is because of the Dems threats and rhetoric over the past 24 hours.
We've been in a clear downtrend for the past 30 days.

The slowdown the democraps are promising on the data center construction has a lot to do with the sell offs.

Did you say the same thing yesterday when Dow was up 1500
yesterday was a flight to perceived safety. tech and musk related stocks got nailed as they are today. law fare inbound.

This pullback isn't due to the Dems winning, lots of underlying things going on, especially in the tech space.
and the rationalization begins. mark election day and watch the market & economy tank from here. come election time the Dims will again blame Trump and the progressive sheep/RINOs will be good little foot soldiers and continue to vote for their demise

AI stocks have been bleeding massively for weeks. Everyone knew dems were going to win when datacenter stocks started getting destroyed 4 weeks ago?

Because everything in the world of business is inherently tied to the AI bubble because mostly everyone and everything started trying to use it to tie it into their businesses, use it for their software engineers, use it for analysis, use it for this, use it for that.
Now people are starting to realize it is not sustainable to invest into, considering there is no proof of productivity increase (especially outside of tech itself), and companies are reigning in on how much they spend on tokens.

I wonder what they were concerned about? maybe something that just came to fruition.

Yea, that what every tech person and I saw coming. Yall need to pay more attention to tech specifically, and even more specifically major AI tech news.

did you not listen to constant reports about the Dim blue wave the past month?

Surely it had everything to do with that and nothing to do with Q3 earnings reports with missed projections and poor forward guidance on too much CAPEX spend and not enough future revenue.

I don't disagree to be honest. My response is more to the gloating I've seen in person and online for how great yesterday was for the market. I do think this is a market response to the election and the obvious plans. I also agree AI is a bubble and unlimited scalability is a myth and once people have to pay for the tokens they say no thanks.

Did you see yesterday's spike? Overreaction to overreaction.

Nope. Dems will put a moratorium on them and outsource data centers to China. It will end up being the same pushback and reasoning they have with oil. They’ll argue why build and produce when we can rely on the ME and China. Because you know, that works so well for globalist agenda. It will be as hard to build a data center as it is to build a refinery.

The big question for me is will then big money in business be spooked enough about the big blue tsunami, and the ideology makeup of those going into Congress, to alter course on how they support/impact the far left of the Democrat party.
Will big business reign in the lawfare and corruption that will soon impact them?
Because it does none of their interest any good if the power of the govt is going to be used to make or break business just because of political preferences. Could a far left Congress severely impact SpaceX? Very much so since spacex operates within govt regulations.

I'm sure it's just coincidence that Tesla and space x are getting crushed the past 2 days. Tsla hasn't had this severe a downdraft since the doge massacre

again, yesterday was a big blue chip rally --- a flight to safety. the past 2 days tech and musk-related businesses are getting crushed. 100% because of the election and promise to come after musk
