It’s only 3 to 4% so far for the day not a huge move. Green would certainly be prettier.

Cautionary tale:
US Oil & Gas Association
@US_OGA
A USOGA History lesson for the day. (Take notes, this will be on the quiz.)
Things get a little frothy when Congress switches hands - particularly in big wave elections and the power of the gavel feels good when holding it for the first time.
It also brings out the inevitable “we are coming your industry” tendencies in the new guys. That just doesn't bother us all that much. Kinda been there done that.
Why? Based on just the past 20 years – we are still here and here is where those who said they were going to "come after us" are now.
2007 Blue Tsunami:
Energy and Commerce: John D. Dingell (D-MI)
Not in Congress
Natural Resources: Nick J. Rahall (D-WV)
Not in Congress
Oversight and Government Reform: Henry A. Waxman (D-CA)
Not in Congress
Energy and Natural Resources: Jeff Bingaman (D-NM)
Not in Congress
Environment and Public Works: Barbara Boxer (D-CA)
Not in Congress
That lasted four years till the Tea Party Election of 2010.
Then in 2018 – Congress flipped again after the Blue House Tsunami.
House Energy and Commerce: Frank Pallone Jr. (D-NJ)
Still in the House
Natural Resources: Raúl M. Grijalva (D-AZ)
Not in Congress
Oversight and Reform: Elijah E. Cummings (D-MD) from January–October 2019
(died in office), then Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY) as acting/permanent chair Maloney lost her 2022 primary.
Neither in Congress
Then again in 2021 when the Senate was 50/50 -
Senate Energy and Natural Resources: Joe Manchin (D-WV) -- (Though he was good and never came after us...)
Not in Congress
Senate Environment and Public Works: Tom Carper (D-DE)
Not in Congress
Point being – our industry tends to stick around much longer than those who want to come after us....

When gas goes down .50 a gallon we are all going to be insanely prosperous! Enough where drag queen story hour in K5 is just a minor complaint.
