Give them everything and wait a few years.

They would be right back where they are and many in even worse shape.

Lord, have mercy. The list demands an end to violence against all blacks. Will these blacks be willing to abide by their own petition?

A guaranteed livable income? Just mailed to them every month, for doing nothing? Don't we in large part do that already?!

Before long it will be seen as racist to reject these demands.

Wait. There's a war?

abolishing the death penalty
Agreed.

mass surveillance in communities of color
How about just repeal the Patriot Act?
quote:

the privatization of police
Wait. You want to privatize police forces? Is this BLM or the Libertarians?
quote:

violence against all Blacks (including Black trans, queer and gender nonconforming people)
This is already illegal.
quote:

using a past criminal history as a means to seek a job, housing, license and voting rights.
I'll give you License and Voting rights.

quote:

Reparations:
Nope. frick you.

quote:

Invest-Divest: Instead of federal, state, and local monies being invested into prisons, police, surveillance, and exploitative corporations, BLM would rather see that invested into long-term safety strategies such as education, local restorative justice services, employment programs, and universal health care.
How about I just cut all discretionary spending on unconstitutional, big gov't bullshite?

quote:

Economic Justice: This is calling for Black communities to have real collective ownership of wealth in the U.S. This could be achieved with restructuring tax codes, creating federal and state job programs that specifically target the most economically marginalized Black people, breaking up large banks and ensuring better protection for workers.
We are close on this one! How about we eliminate the federal income tax and go to a VAT tax? Then we can have competition and people can invest wherever they like!

quote:

Community Control: This would include the end of the privatization of education and making sure communities have the power to hire and fire officers, determine disciplinary action, control budgets and policies, and subpoena relevant agency information when needed.
So we are privatizing police forces and nationalizing everything else? Yall didn't think this through did you?

quote:

Political Power: To ensure that real democracy can be achieved for all Black people, BLM wants for all political prisoners to be released, eliminating Super Pacs that fund candidates, ensuring election protection, early registration at the age of 16, full access to technology and the internet, and increased funding to HBCU’s.
Nope. If it were up to me, all of us would be voting on a single day. There would be no absentee balloting and if you didn't want to produce an ID to vote, that's fine. But you're dipping your finger in ink Iraqi voting style.

Compromised.

Socialist policies are causing the very problems they are complaining about, yet they want more socialist policies.

Retards.

This makes no sense. If the want to be successful, they will have to be individuals. Collectivism leads only to poverty.

BLM’s Plan for Racial Jutice The plan, titled “A Vision for Black Lives: Policy Demands for Black Power, Freedom and Justice,” offers up six core demands and 40 policy priorities, NBC News noted. They include:

Ending the War on Black People: This includes abolishing the death penalty, mass surveillance in communities of color, the privatization of police, violence against all Blacks (including Black trans, queer and gender nonconforming people) and using a past criminal history as a means to seek a job, housing, license and voting rights.

Reparations: To address the past and current harms that slavery, Jim Crow, and mass incarceration have done to the Black community, BLM is seeking reparations for the wealth extracted from our communities, guaranteed livable income and free access and open admissions to public community colleges, universities, and technical schools, to name a few.

Invest-Divest: Instead of federal, state, and local monies being invested into prisons, police, surveillance, and exploitative corporations, BLM would rather see that invested into long-term safety strategies such as education, local restorative justice services, employment programs, and universal health care.

Economic Justice: This is calling for Black communities to have real collective ownership of wealth in the U.S. This could be achieved with restructuring tax codes, creating federal and state job programs that specifically target the most economically marginalized Black people, breaking up large banks and ensuring better protection for workers.
