Lincoln was right. He should have shipped every one of them to Latin America and let the Hispanics deal with it.
Lincoln sought and obtained approval by Congress to build ships ($600,000) to ship the entire freed black community to Latin America. Frederick Douglas went Wal Mart on Lincoln in the White House. A month later Lincoln introduces the Emancipation Proclamation Act.
The North was more racist than the south ever was.
