would never in a million years flaunt my sex life in front of my parents. This article shows a complete lack of respect for her family that she is willing to trash them in a public setting such as an op ed.
What about her dad flaunting his sex life and beliefs on a national radio show and trashing his daughter? Is he showing respect for his daughter be trashing her lifestyle on air every day?

Episcopal, Presbyterian...who else?
Lots of non-doms in liberal cities: Austin, Seattle, San Fran, etc. lead by independent preachers who cannot preach orthodox Christianity and survive on what that might bring in to the offering plate. So they water it down, dress trendy in art house glasses and skinny jeans, and proclaim that they themselves have read and prayed and god told them it was not a sin to be gay as long as you are in a committed monogamous relationship.

To be fair I don't think she is mentioned on the radio show.

The only reason anyone cares what her opinions are is because her father is famous.
Pretty selfish for her to try to use the platform he built to publically criticize him.

A perfectly reasonable response really. That people don't get this is a measure of self absorption
His platform put her through college. She can show a little respect.

You'll never hear anyone complain about how much money these charlatans make. Only pastors who actually preach from the actual Word are supposed to be broke as a joke.

Most likely true.
But I'm sure, like every woman, she neglected to remember that detail in the AAR.
Bitches be trifling

Since she exists, and all, dads not really flaunting his 'sex life' is he?

I can understand if you're gay, I don't get bisexual though. Do you just wake up and decided you would rather have VJ over cock today, and then the next day you feel more like cock than VJ? I don't get it. But then again I am just boring ole straight.

And in this day and time most who did so in a place like Seattle would be broke as a joke, demonized, hated, homeless, friendless save for a few close confidants, and possibly even run the possibility of being put in prison for hate speech.
Sounds familiar doesn't it....

Not according to her.

The story my father tells is one of a lost lamb, covered in shame. In his public musings, he speaks of my sin. Without my consent, he uses me as a cautionary tale.
People here seem to have skipped that little detail from the article.

She looks, and sounds like him. I don't like people who won't see or try and understand opposing opinions, which both of these humans fail to do.

I'll also say this: the father is even more at fault for cultivating an attitude of an unpardonable sin. Even if one believes that homosexuality is a sin (personally, even as a Christian I think many of the prevailing mores/values regarding sex when it comes to Christians are bunk), there is no sin short of out and out reaction of Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and savior that will keep you from His grace and love. Also, the Lord does not deem one sin to be more grave than another--sin is sin is sin is sin. The idea that this one or that one are akin to crossing the Rubicon is man-made bullshite, and as a Christian I'm tired of the church constructing such artificial boogeymen to rack and stack the body of Christ.
You said it better than I.

I'm pretty sure that she wouldn't be saying anything at all if he wasn't on the air bashing her lifestyle or the people she calls friends.
I'm sure he can pick plenty of topics to preach on rather than this one that just so happens to hit so close to home.

Sexual sin is one of them, and homosexual sin is specifically mentioned a few times as one the forms of sexual sin.
So why aren't womanizers ostracized like homosexuals? Makes no sense.
Again, I'm not too keen on some of the church teachings on sexual conduct.
God made some people gay. Some folks are going to have sex out of wedlock (and in many cases that's actually not a bad thing), etc. We're a little too didactic over some of these issues, IMO.

I'm not an avid Rick and Bubba listener but I have listened quite a bit and I especially listened A LOT several years back before I got XM radio. I have not once heard his daughter being a rug muncher brought up.
I bet she is talking about when he speaks at public events - which he does A LOT. I don't go to those.

My church tries to sponsor some missionaries in areas like these to help them get by, and we send members on mission trips regularly. Cities like the ones you mentioned need more help than most areas of the world.

Some folks like to have their cake and eat it too
Usually more prevalent in girls, though, from what I've observed.
Which suits my depraved designs nicely
