From the moment Ron announced, I would've been fine with either candidate getting the nomination. I truly believe that most people felt the way I felt. The "Team Rob! vs. Team Blumpf" crap was just people of a vast minority stirring the pot. I had no issue with Trump and Ron taking shots at one another for the most part, though I did feel that if Ron had stayed more focused on Biden than getting drawn into Trump's game, he may have fared better. Also, I believe Trump could've toned it down significantly when the Ron campaign was obviously self destructing, as opposed to doubling down and twisting the knife. But it is what it is.

If you're talking about the Ronbots I'm familiar with (and am probably considered one of), I think you're wrong. In fact, I think they're substantially more conservative than the vast majority of Trump primary voters - which is probably why they supported DeSantis in favor of Trump.

What you're reacting to is an enthusiasm to argue that most of us around here have, but isn't appreciated when it runs against the grain.

The paychecks from Ron's campaign stopped so now he will try to grift Trump supporters again. Hope he goes broke.

I have never once said Trump was a "conservative". He supported Hillary in her first run, was a longtime Democrat voter and donator, and overall his presidential policy and term was modesty to the right of 1990s Bill Clinton.

I considered myself a "Clinton Democrat" back in the day. People change. Trump? Maybe not so much. But he's the best chance we've got right now, and the entirety of the State-sponsored Narrative Control Apparatus all being against him in complete lockstep, verifies that he is the most dangerous to him in spite of his connections to the Establishment. If he was purchasable, controllable and swampy, they'd be tripping all over themselves to install him and they'd probably try and ratify the Constitution to allow him to be emperor for life.
