He refuses to admit that he was wrong about Trump. He is no longer relevant on the political scene. Actually, it has been so long since I have read his name that I wasn't sure if he was still alive. History will not even remember him as a footnote.

Guys like Bill Kristol have been marginalized by the Trump-led change in media and communications. They used to be relevant by wearing a suit and going on Sunday talk shows, but that’s not how it works now. And when those guys try to play the new game, for which they are just not suited, they look like guys in business suits stranded in a disco.

Many in the GOP were always Democrats, they just had to run as republicans to win in red districts.
This includes the majority of those running the party at the national level.
The Chamber of Commerce has far more common goals with the establishment democratic wing than they do with the GOP base or MAGA leadership.
