With that much money available, I'm not sure that Americans of African Ancestry won't find it profitable to remigrate to help the locals spend the Gates fortune.

I mean respectfully, Africa is a place that is constantly being pillaged. The nations that colonize that area has zero concern for the locals or the ecosystem.

It would be beneficial for the world if more african countries could build infrastructure and stand on their own. It's a pipe dream I know...

You could give Africa 200 Trillion and it wouldn't make a difference.

Why don't villages have wells already? Why does an outside organization have to do it? These villages have been there for hundreds of years. Why didn't they dig their own wells?

I can tell by your innocent question that you have never been there. Nothing - and I mean nothing - gets done today unless it simply can’t wait, or unless it’s done by foreigners. They’ll take their oil money, that they did not earn, and spend it on a modern airport with conveyor walkways, automated baggage handling,HVAC systems with cooling towers, and six months after it’s commissioned none of that stuff will work anymore.

Raising the standard of living in Africa would be harmful to the environment. More people living better consuming more needing more goods.
