There’s a doomsday view of climate change that goes like this: In a few decades, cataclysmic climate change will decimate civilization.

Its cataclysmic that support for Windows 10 just ends at the whim of this Microturd so that he can sell the next best thing and add to his oligarchy.

Now is the time to pay attention to the next thing that is going to end civilization as we know it.

If even Bill Gates is saying climate change is bust. They won't waste time on coming up with a new way to steal and control all of us. I look forward to more "Trust the Science" discussions in the near future.

Correct. And it's not all necessarily related to emissions. Major dams or diversion projects certainly have an impact on regional climate.

Our temps have warmed about three degrees in winter, depending on your location.

Its not debatable. But its also not catastrophic.

Temperatures in Juneau have increased as much as 3.6 °F during the 20th century, with the largest increase occurring during the winter months. Rates of warming were higher in the later part of the 20th century, and Juneau’s average winter time temperature rose by 1.5 - 3 °F in the past 60 years.

From when to when and why pick arbitrary dates?

It certainly was much much warmer there than it is now

Here, most of the warming occurred in the late 90s and early 2000s.

There is zero doubt if you live here that the climate has changed. Winters have changed dramatically, and our snowfall averages have fallen by 20% or so.

I dont look at the glaciers to determine change, cooler temps can cause them to retreat actually. But its definitely warmer than when I first moved here.

Did you read the post? He is saying we need to stop the climate change insanity

Of course, because I'd be willing to bet he's heavily invested in these data centers, and the cat's out the bag as to how these things are the opposite of sustainability and conservation of natural resources.

But are you claiming that it's unprecedented? Global climates have varied wildly throughout history. There is fossilized fauna from tropical climes under the ice in Siberia. The Vikings grew grapes and made wine in Greenland.

I don't disagree that climate change is occuring, and I maybe don't even disagree that man has played SOME small role.

Where I do disagree is that man has played such a large role that we need to limit everyone's energy use, curtail economies and resort to eating bugs or else we'll all die of Cat 8 hurricanes by 2050.

Yes climate change is real.
Coming out of a ice age leads to warming.
Doom and gloom sells.

AI is the next doomsday aspect they will hone in on. Too much money to go untouched by the elite.

Climate change was a good target for them because there are enough sheep to follow their shiny hook around and buy into. The "problem" was complex enough that people across the intelligence spectrum could understand some portion of the problem.

AI offers the same criteria. Except AI is absolutely controlled by the elite.

Greta has to be rolling in her solar powered sailboat.
