White people moved to the suburbs to get away from the urban issues . Politicians and subversive groups complain about gentrification of black neighborhood ( they were white prior) now can you imagine when the black and brown people exit cities and whites move back in and restore areas and local culture ? They be screaming their collective a$$es off

Tucker was warning all last summer that Eric Holder was working on just such a plan, using HUD money control to cut off funding for future single residences & advance the liberal plan to bring the projects out to the suburbs. This is no idle dreaming, it's what the left has been planning.

It's almost like people have a strong preference for living around people like themselves.

Yeah, this is something that these people don't get and I don't know why. Places like Chinatown and Little Italy don't exist because of institutionalized segregation. People generally want to live around others with a shared identity, culture, and/or values.

So we are going to move low income people to suburbs where there is less public transit and fewer jobs.

I was thinking the commuting aspect of this might naturally limit things to a degree

The limousine liberals will remain safe in their super rich areas and behind their walls. No apartments and low income housing will be allowed in their backyards, I guarantee it.

The middle class people who have worked hard for years to buy a little dream and invest their hard earned savings in a 350K house will bear the brunt of this misguided attempt at fairness. They will see their neighborhoods rise in crime, instability, and trashiness, along with seeing their property values drop.

Won't be that way for long once you start putting in a bunch of apartment buildings in those areas. Almost every nice apartment complex I've seen built in the suburbs ends up becoming trashier and trashier as time goes by. The solution to the problems of poor crime ridden inner cities is apparently to export the problem to suburbs so that everywhere becomes poor and crime ridden.

This is very accurate. Hoover, Alabama used to be a wonderful place but they started allowing section 8 folks into the nicer apartment complexes. Of course everything went to shite. Now, they actually have a wing of the Hoover PD dedicated to "apartment watch" due to all of the crime occurring in the apartment complexes.
In addition, bringing 'cultcha' to Hoover has directly affected the Riverchase Galleria Mall. Multiple shootings have occurred there including last November when an 8 year old boy was shot and killed by a stray bullet while standing in line outside a shoe store. The bullet was fired by a gang member shooting at another gang member in the food court.
I and my wife went to the mall not too long ago and it now looks like a ghost town inside. Many stores have gone out of business and there were very few shoppers on what should have been a very busy day. Also, ethnic retail stores are popping up in a couple of places in the mall. Scenes such as this points to a sign that the end for the Galleria is near. I've seen it happen over the years with other malls such as Eastwood Mall and Century Plaza Mall.
Not good at all. I still remember when that mall opened back in 1986 and how it was so cool because Birmingham had nothing like it; and it was in such a nice area of the suburbs. Can't really say that now.

Mr. Biden would send federal grants to cities if they eliminate those zoning laws and allow more lower-income people, often minorities, in areas that typically have better schools and fewer social ills that plague poor, inner-city communities.

Let me help the leftists out real quick. Inner city schools aren't bastions of education because of funding, they are atrocious because the student body and their parents views schools as a daycare center. The social ills won't be eliminated moving in to a white neighborhood just as the ecuational gap never was closed by busing students all over town.

Funny how moving into a black neighborhood is called gentrification and even racist but here we are now pushing blacks into white neighborhoods.

quote:

Policies barring Blacks from being able to borrow money to buy homes in certain areas may be gone, but policies such as single-family zoning can keep minorities out of the most desirable neighborhoods, racial justice activists argue.

And they never name the policies.

That is exactly what this has always been about. Build enough of those apartments and insert the parasites and you will change the voting demographics of a district from Republican to Bolshevik.

Sounds like a typical republican lie. "Biden is coming for your safe, white suburbs!" Typical bullshite.

Just a repeat of Obama's Section 8 rezoning of nice suburbs. He didn't have enough support of Congress to get it done. This Dem congress can do it.

Democrats have a lot of real estate buddies. I'm not so sure about that.

All you republicans who still champion legal immigration will now have to live with all those folks from shithole countries that you thought were fine because they had a piece of paper with a government signature on it.
