Chomsky and Saul Alinsky are probably the two most influential people who are directly responsible for the shape this country is in politically I can think of.
If conservatives ever hope to defeat the socialist movement I highly suggest reading everything these two have written starting with Alinsky's Rules for Radicals. You can't win if you don't understand the rules of the game.
