You can take all the jabs you want and wear five face diapers and it’s never going away.

Covid is the only issue Joey 2” has. He’s an unmitigated disaster in every other area.

As thousands of Americans are trapped in Afghanistan, your boy is talking about forcing kids to wear masks.

This should be your red pill moment to wake up and realize that Covid is a political tool for the left.

I’ll bet anyone. We’re going to be talking about Covid the exact same next summer as we are right now. In a year’s time, nothing will be different.

I'm finding it hard to find a success story in the "COVID response" area...

This administration could frick up a wet dream...

I took two days off work to stay home with a sick kid and you would think I’m coming back from an Ebola outbreak. I mentioned we didn’t test my kid and a couple act like I am crazy. There is no help for these people.

I have tried to explain this to people and it never works. They still think that if we just mask a little longer or stay home or get more people vaccinated Covid will be eliminated.

Covid is here forever which is why everything needs to return to normal.

Maybe for you, most of us with balls will exhibit extreme civil disobedience. Biden has nothing, he cannot lead, is a fool and is in the process of destroying the country as we speak with uncontrolled immigration. The gunfight may be much closer than we think.

Two weeks to flatten the curve.

A coworker was saying he thought the parents of his kids’ schoolmates were being ridiculous raising hell over school mask mandates. I asked him how long will it last? Covid is not going away.

You’re right. People live in the moment and do not think long term.

This is actually a good read on the issue. The guy who wrote does not appear to be a physician or virologist, but I can't find anything clearly wrong with his data, and his take on the issue is one of the more reasonable ones I've come across.

quote:

The pandemic is on its way out, but SARS-CoV-2 is here to stay. Fortunately, as everyone develops immunity to it (whether through vaccination or natural infection), it will soon no longer be a major problem anymore. The virus will continue to circulate, but much less than during the pandemic and, even when people are infected, the infection will typically be mild. In the future, almost everyone will get infected for the first time during their childhood, which is harmless and will protect them against severe illness when they are reinfected.15 The virus will continue to mutate and some of those mutations will favor immune evasion, but while this will allow it to infect people who have already been infected or vaccinated more easily, immunity should continue to protect against severe forms of the disease, thanks in particular to the role played by T-cells. This is likely what happened with other human coronaviruses, which are already endemic and typically cause a cold in the people they infect. To the extent that immune evasion occurs, it will be very gradual and the fact that most people will be infected every few years will update their immunity, ensuring that subsequent reinfections will also be mild. The most vulnerable people, whose immune system doesn’t work very well and could use some help to be ready in case of infection, can get a vaccine booster from time to time. The virus will still kill people, as the flu does, but it will never cause the same amount of disruption again. The hardest part of what lays ahead may be to convince people who have been traumatized by the pandemic that it’s over and that restrictions are no longer necessary.

It seems to me, a huge number of them think it’s great.

What’s been a bigger boom for the ‘let’s just veg out all day, every day’ lifestyle?

the virus itself will certainly never go away much like influenza

the use of it as a means to grab more power under authoritarian rule CAN go away though when enough people stop complying ... not that I believe that will happen

Many here, including myself, said Covid would go away when Biden took office.

I was wrong, they will continue to use it.

The fact that there are serious discussions about a MANDATORY, still very much experimental vaccine, to "stop" a virus with a 99% survival rate is already beyond what I could imagine.

(FTR, I'm not anti-vax in the sense that I believe we shouldn't have one available or that people shouldn't have the option to take one. It's the government mandated aspect of it that greatly concerns me)

Why just address this to Biden followers?

Plenty of people from all political ideologies are all in on the government overreach.

If you don’t test your kid, how can you go on social media and talk about your kid having Covid?
