Bernie wants Americans to own 50% of the largest AI companies in America

Trump's buying of Intel stock paved the way for this. I admit I initially defended Trump, but now that I see where Dems will take it, I say Trump needs to dump the stock and ban this practice.

If Americans got a monthly check for the profits those data centers create (no idea how this would happen) then for once I don’t disagree with Bernie. I’m against the fricking things but if you want to ensure Americans aren’t being taken advantage of in the deal to help offset the energy cost, this is one way to do it I guess.
But I am not an expert in this or how it would be implemented or if it’s even possible

I dont know Bernie’s reasons, but there needs to be some compensation to those who produced the training data.
My sibling is a finance writer and that industry has been completely wrecked by AI.
Its a lot more insidious under the surface… LLM’s scrape all of their copywrited content, “train on it”, regurgitate it back to readers who would’ve gone to the human articles/content otherwise. It is literal IP theft and there are no laws to hold it accountable. AI owners make billions off content they didnt create, and the content producers get unemployed.
You want to train on my data… you must buy it from me.

If these companies are publicly traded, Americans will own 100% of them, so what's the problem Bernie?
Oh wait... I know.... He wants big daddy government to own it on the "taxpayers behalf".

They fed it pretty much every piece of human knowledge. Ergo, everyone should be compensated for it.
It's a public utility. Same could be said about the internet.

So giving us stake in AI companies is somehow a bad thing now?
Simping for AI companies simply aint it chief

If he wants that, then where does it end?
Refineries (specifically designed for crude that pull out of the ground)?
Nuclear power?
Food production / processing?

So you are saying you want Americans to control the means of production?
Hmmm...

Why doesn't America own a stake in WalMart or Amazon? What about Exxon?
What other companies should we forcibly own?

And he means control.
Because that’s what Democrats want. Control.

Making literal socialism a plank for the right would always end up energizing the left.
It was incredibly retarded by Trump

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs, in other words

Seems fair, since American Pharma companies own 100% of Bernie.
