I know, not the most certain times to be going out on my own. But I worked for a corporate company with a few hundred employees, and I absolutely refuse to get the shot they're calling a vaccine.

Been really struggling with my decision to break out on my own and leave the comforts of a great salary, guaranteed income, good insurance and benefit programs and a bright future in a good company.

So after much prayer and Godly discernment, I'm doing it. I'm starting my own company, and I put my notice in a few weeks ago.

Then on my last official day with the company, I got the sign I had been looking for. The company wide mandate email. It wasn't a mandate, but a pre cursor to it. Just solidified that fact that I'm not going to be a stooge and help someone else make their dreams come true anymore. This all may get shot down in court, but im not leaving the fate of my livelihood in their hands anymore.

This can be the best decision you’ll ever make. As someone above said, it may be lean for a few years. You’ll work more than ever before and hopefully enjoy every minute of it.

I wish you happiness and success in your new endeavor

Started earlier this year. Been through testing and setup the LLC and structure of the business. Because of Ida, i do have to delay actual some aspects of the business but it should be rolling by January. It’s scary and exciting but I stay motivated by my goals.

Good luck with your new endeavor!

I did the same thing 32 years ago. Best decision i ever made. You’ll do fine. It takes long hours, passion and smart work. There will be people come along you least expect who will help you.

It's a multi faceted store front. This will pretty much out me to anyone who knows me, but its going to be an outdoor apparel store with an espresso bar inside. It will also have my shop built into the back, where I make custom duck calls and an airbnb that people can stay in for call making experiences, guided duck hunts and vacationing. It will be in downtown vicksburg.

Congrats. Would love to do this full time, but I’m worried about “always working on the next sale.” Seems like it could get exhausting. With 7.5 years until first retirement, though, I’m beginning to look long term.

Oh, and in b4 you didn’t build that.
