When did this phenomenon start and what is the meaning behind this Karen phrase "Be Kind" I keep seeing. I have seen them all wearing "Be Kind" shirts, and drinking out of "Be Kind" tumblers. As well as businesses putting this slogan out front.

Another excuse to further emasculate society? I take this to mean, "don't push back, accept their authority"

I support the sentiment but if you wear the shirt and act like an ignorant spiteful pussy then you instantly become a meme.

Ironically enough, Ellen Degeneres started that several years ago.

Be kind means please excuse my depraved behavior.

They feel guilty.

When you start countering their make-believe fantasy notions in public, "Be Kind" is their default safety blanket.

That’s just an excuse to expect others to act how they want them to. Kindness I relevant to these reptiles.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control -Gal. 5:22-23

Kindness is a good thing and all of us should be kind to others, however that is based on a Christian worldview with an objective moral standard and eternal accountability for actions. Those who don't care about such things are being arbitrary in their "pushing" of kindness on others.

You and I both know that is not what they really mean. No one should be mean or cruel for no reason. But there is nothing wrong with people being held accountable when they deserve it.

So, you're not going to help the little old lady cross the street? You're not going to say "pardon me" when you have to move past someone?

Except that's not at all what they mean by "be kind."

"Be Kind" is like "inclusive" -- it doesn't mean what it means.

Reminds me of a Rudyard Kipling poem

quote:

As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man---
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began:---
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her mire,
And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;
And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!

Sometimes being kind is putting someone in their place. Because like the poem says, if we don't, we're letting them lead themselves to ruin.

This seems to be a word game being played where the propaganda machine wants us to conflate "being nice" with "being kind". The two are not the same.
