re: Waiver Wire Wednesday - who ya got? - Anastasia Beaverhousen on 9/27/17 at 6:44 pm
Ok. This was not the response I was expecting. Yes, I really did get Kareem Hunt on waivers. Another guy on the team texted me at 5:30 this morning because he had tried to get him too. The guy who had him didn't play him, even after the first week. Then he dropped him. No clue what he was thinki...

Yep. I deleted my Facebook almost four years ago and it has been GLORIOUS! I feel so free! Of course now I spend too much time on TigerDroppings instead. :banghead:...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

The screens can cause issues with sleep cycles if they're on them too long too late at night. But otherwise, yes, it's the isolation that comes with living life on social media. Texting instead of calling or just hanging out. I have actually seen it in some adults too, on a smaller scale. Letti...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

Great read, anc. Do you see repercussions of this in your higher ed classes? I teach at the college level and most of my students are looking at a screen during class. Some (very few) are legit taking notes, but the rest are shopping and on social media. I took a group of 20 students on a stud...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
re: Ex-Fox News commentator alleges anchor raped her in new lawsuit - Anastasia Beaverhousen on 9/18/17 at 8:23 pm
OMG! Beverly Leslie is the GOAT. Sessions has always reminded me more of the crazy neighbor in The Burbs. And apparently I'm not the only one! Google images has memes aplenty. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Ex-Fox News commentator alleges anchor raped her in new lawsuit - Anastasia Beaverhousen on 9/18/17 at 7:36 pm
This is interesting in light of the Amber Tamblyn op-ed last week about believing women when they cry rape. Libs have been eating it up. But the alleged rapist here is black and we can't go against them bc it's racist. And the woman is white and on Fox News so she must be racist...but we're s...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

re: Anyone have success stopping Nexium or similar PPI drug? - Anastasia Beaverhousen on 7/6/17 at 1:23 pm
I was having awful heartburn/acid reflux six months back. Baking soda in water was the only good quick fix, but I started taking turmeric supplements a couple of months ago and now I rarely have any issues. ...
The can of vegetables is back!
His name is Mitch! Can't wait for this. I'm sure Bradley Cooper's schedule was too full, but I'm hopeful for a cameo at least....

re: Who's going on vacation this summer to Euroistan? - Anastasia Beaverhousen on 6/19/17 at 1:32 am
In Prague right now for a few days after spending a month in London, Paris, and Milan. I never felt unsafe anywhere and went out and about by myself several times (and I'm female). I did see a few refugee camps set up in Paris, but just through the windows as we were driving by. I was more worrie...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer - Anastasia Beaverhousen on 6/6/17 at 11:15 am
Anyone read this by Patrick Suskind? [link=(https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/343.Perfume)]LINK[/link] I watched the movie last night after visiting a perfume museum and found it interesting, though I could tell it must have left out a good bit of back story. I want to read or listen to the bo...

re: Advice for hip flexibility with yoga? - Anastasia Beaverhousen on 6/4/17 at 8:53 am
Lizard pose is good and not as intense as pigeon can be. There is an excellent app: Yoga Studio by Gaiam. It's only $3.99 and you get a ton of classes for all levels classified based on what you need - flexibility, strength, combo. They have classes as short as five minutes or up to an hour. ...
Muh uterus!
   So what's happening here is that the feminists are no longer being pandered to and they need attention. When someone brings a message of unity that uses the words "all Americans" it undermines them making themselves a special, protected group of...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Lena Dunham: "I Wish I had an abortion" - Anastasia Beaverhousen on 12/20/16 at 8:35 am
She's just seeking attention, and she's unfortunately good at receiving it.
This. It's the Lena Dunham way. She wants to play the victim so she says something ridiculous and when (justly) criticized for it, she starts whining about bigotry and misogyny. Lena Dunham LOVES playi...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
