I really don't care what Bannon "thinks." Show me the legal precedent for a crime being committed here.

The bar for treason seems to lower quite a bit when it's convenient for people like the OP. Giving Iran $400 billion in cash on pallets doesn't rise to that level, yet a meeting with some Russians (with lawyers present) somehow does.

Actually I'd put Ivanka and Kushner at a lower level than the 2 boys.

I think Bannon should have kept his mouth shut instead he comes across like a anti-Semite. The rumblings about his dislike of Jews have been known for quite some time but never proved.

Bannon's backing of Roy Moore, who is clearly an anti-Semitic fruitcake, pushed Bannon's religious leanings into full view. Moore's comments" “He’s [Soros] still going to the same place that people who don’t recognize God and morality and accept his salvation are going,” Moore said. “And that’s not a good place.” Bannon should have refuted the Moore comments but he didn't infact he doubled down on them.

Now Bannon's book is taking full aim at Ivanka Trump because she converted to Judiasm and Jarod Kushner who is Jewish. This is all a ploy to prop up his book sales and to continue his anti-Semitic narrative that Jews run the world B.S.

Bannon's 10 minutes of fame are just about over and Trump will take down his Brietbart publication the same way he took down CNN with the 120 characters and one tweet.

In other words frick Bannon!

Ivanka is by far the sharpest of the children followed by Eric then Tiffany then Don Jr. I've had business dealings with Jarod and he is really sharp and personable. Eric is very much like Jarod.

Congrats, I guess?

I'm not sure what you think this changes. It's not like he went full Brazil and exposed the campaign for money laundering, stealing, and general malfeasance.

Bannon is also then saying the DNC committed treason, then. They admitted to having meetings with Ukranian officials with thre purpose of attempting to spread negative propaganda about Trump and to influence the election.

The democrats in here cheering for Bannons ridiculous interpretation don't realize it means the DNC is necessarily guilty.

To be fair, Bannon's really not criticizing the intent, just the execution of the job. It's the sort of thing disgruntled former employees do to grouse about those who pushed them out (here Kushner is the target, not DJTJ).

Lol. They set the entire meeting in question up!

The dishonesty is a sight to behold. Their candidate/party colluded with the media, rigged the primary, had quid pro quos with dictators, paid Russians for smear, colluded with Ukraine, spied on the trump campaign, destroyed evidence, mishandled classified secrets, and countless other misdeeds. Yet here the concern trolls are, all lathered up over the meeting that almost happened.

What makes you think Kushner and Ivanka was alone in wanting him fired from the WH?

POTUS wanted him gone too as he was not happy with his bullshite. That's what Scaramucci was hired for and Bannon was opposed to him as well and it worked and he's gone now.

I don't think that. I think Bannon's comments were aimed at Trump with Bannon's signaling to him that he's more capable than Kushner and can be trusted should Mueller take Kushner down. Plus, if Trump himself goes down, Bannon can blame the lot of them for betraying the populist revolution and go make some other demagogue.

It's true.

Because if it wasn't, he would've never hired General Kelly as CoS or even let him fire Bannon.

In fact, Bannon's departure is the only one from the West Wing that I remember Trump not wishing the departing employee well.

Bannon was brass knuckles combative, leaking like a motherfricker and constantly drawing press attention to himself. Even Trump dressed him down in one interview after the latest leak.

He was good as gone.

Now you're just going off the rails here.

He has pretty much been involved with everything wrong that Trump has done in office. He is a dumpster fire of bad advice. The man has easily cost Trump at least 10 points in polling and of course a valuable senate seat.

The man just wants to see the world burn, he doesn't care about any populist agenda.

I guess Bannon's New Year's resolution was to draw attention to himself.

And yet he talks to Trump every week. Trump still keeps Mooch in his circle. Trumpland is like the Hotel California - you can check out anytime [he] wants but you can never leave.

I still talk to some old ex girlfriends and get along with them.

Doesn't mean I want to get back with any of them. The breakup happened for a reason.

From the day of the Alabama Senate Race:

quote:

Behind the scenes, some advisers hoped the loss would persuade Mr. Trump to stop listening to Stephen K. Bannon, his former chief strategist who has vowed war against the Republican establishment. But Mr. Trump talked with Mr. Bannon for 15 minutes by phone on Tuesday, aides said, and seemed disinclined to cut the adviser from his circle.

NYT

And then if you can believe the Mooch ( ),

quote:

Anthony Scaramucci, a.k.a. the Mooch, appears to be positioning himself to give politics another go. The former White House communications director has privately told friends and associates that the president and other members of the Trump family, including White House adviser and first daughter Ivanka Trump, miss him and want him back in the West Wing. Three sources close to Scaramucci have independently told The Daily Beast that the Mooch continues to brag that he and President Donald Trump talk on the phone, and that the Mooch believes his resurrection in Trump-world could be imminent.
