Bannon is losing it. Trump has never been in better shape re: this bogus investigation and yet here he comes popping off again. Bannon is nothing without Trump. Maybe if he had played his cards right he could have done something, but this manufactured war with Trump, his disastrous Roy Moore gambit, and now this is going to ruin him. I was one of Bannon's biggest fans but now I'm disgusted with him..
Unless.... what if this is coordinated between Bannon and Trump? A little "good cop/bad cop"? It seems too ham-handed to be Bannon attacking Trump when Trump has kept so many of the populist promises that Bannon loved.

I never liked Bannon and you won't find any praise previously for him from me.
He is a clown. You want him associated with you? That is 100% fine by me.

I think Bannon is making the point that Don Jr's intent was to consider committing "treason" if the Russian chick actually had the goods (or perhaps that simply taking the meeting in hopes she had the goods was in itself "treason").

Bannon has libs wanting to do away with the opposition research excuse, and go after people that met with foreigners for information,with a treason charge.

There's a reason why Bannon was eventually forced out of the White House by General Kelly who went on to restore order and install discipline.
Bannon is a combative brass knuckles kind of guy and you can see that given his leaking not like a rusty pipe but a goddamn waterfall and it was harming morale and the professional atmosphere in the west wing.
When Trump hired Scaramucci, he was hired to take out the leakers, incompetents and troublemakers. He was a suicide bomb attack against Reince, Spicer and Bannon and the Trump White House has been better off since.
