Lewandowski, Manafort, and Bannon were all clowns. So is Roger Stone. You can be brilliant at something and yet still be a clown overall.

So what does is say about a leader than continually selects "clowns" to run his campaign?

Are we to believe that he was lying when he said he only surrounds himself with the best people?

That is the truth. I think he is just embarrassed that Trump big leagued him.

While we are talking about hacks, I'll go on record with also saying I think Don Jr. is a try hard hack. But I think his dad as president is better than the alternative.

Bannon seems to be pushing himself off the Trump train.

This thread has made a lightbulb go off for me.

This is totally play-fighting between Bannon and Trump. The good cop / bad cop routine.

Take DACA - Trump sends signals that "hey we really want to get a deal done" and looks like this nice dude but then Bannon / Breitbart gin up the base "TRUMP IS BETRAYING US ON DACA! MILLIONS OF FAMILY MEMBERS WILL USE CHAIN MIGRATION TO INUNDATE AMERICA WITH MESSICANS".

This is all play-fighting between Our President and Obergruppenfuhrer Bannon designed to give Trump leverage in his negotiations with the Dems. This is how we'll get the wall, mates.

Interesting theory, but pretty much all democrats already have accused Trump Jr treason for something he not only stopped short of doing, but something democrats actually did re Ukraine and Russia via Fusion. Calling this out further does no good. You will find pages of media pieces calling the Ukraine collusion story "fake news" in spite of evidence to the contrary and their efforts to frantically repair the damage after the election.

This is either fake, taken out of context, or Bannon is missing the spotlight.

Bannon is 100% right.

It was absolutely treasonous for Hillary and the gang to purposely set that meeting up in an effort to trap Jr.

“You realise where this is going,” he is quoted as saying. “This is all about money laundering. Mueller chose [senior prosecutor Andrew] Weissmann first and he is a money-laundering guy. Their path to fricking Trump goes right through Paul Manafort, Don Jr and Jared Kushner … It’s as plain as a hair on your face.”

Last month it was reported that federal prosecutors had subpoenaed records from Deutsche Bank, the German financial institution that has lent hundreds of millions of dollars to the Kushner property empire. Bannon continues: “It goes through Deutsche Bank and all the Kushner shite. The Kushner shite is greasy. They’re going to go right through that. They’re going to roll those two guys up and say play me or trade me.”

Well that does sound kinda like Bannon.

So kind of like Donna Brazil, Bannon comes out with rehashed information in a provocative manner to sell books. Makes sense.

If anyone was curious, the author of the linked article is your typical lib skyscreamer. Calls trump a child on social media, etc.

Not that I doubt Bannon said stuff like this in his book. He’s a kook like Alex Jones. Doesn’t make him any less of a strategist though.

Bannon is referring to Kushner and Don Jr's actions.

Bannon went on, Wolff writes, to say that if any such meeting had to take place, it should have been set up “in a Holiday Inn in Manchester, New Hampshire, with your lawyers who meet with these people”. Any information, he said, could then be “dump[ed] … down to Breitbart or something like that, or maybe some other more legitimate publication”.

Unless you have NO intentions of it being an illegal meeting other than a conversation....nothing came of it.

Bannons own words prove it was not a treasonous meeting.

He's that dumb

I've been reading some of the memoirs from inside the campaign, and the more I read, the more I think the Trump kids had really inflated opinions of their own very poor political acumen. I'm pretty sure that Lewandowski and Bannon were much smarter at running the campaign, and letting Trump be Trump.

The two boys are incompetent boobs who are way out of their league. Ivanka is legit, and I think Kushner can play at this level but he may not always have the cleanest of hands.

Dems come up with some kooky shite, but the idea that taking this meeting was treason is laughable. These are the same people who were paying Sergei Millian for smear on Trump.

It would be funny if it weren't so dangerous.
