I've stayed out of this thread because the Boomeritis some of PT posters exhibit on this forum is very tiresome, but your post is pretty spot on.

Am right on the border between being a Boomer and a GenX person. As in most cases, you cannot or should not place a certain demographic in one position, esp. politics. Many folks of the older generations are common sensical, but some are BSC and totally infected with TDS. Do not forget the 60s/early 70s when there def was a dividing line regarding the VietNam war.
Many folks that protested and spit on US troops coming back from SE Asia from that generation are likely voting Dem this year.
