I spent some time working with the Pepsi/Frito boys in St. Petersburg. Your descriptions are spot on.
I had a young college grad, a Russian, take me around, he described Russians the same way. He said they will do whatever you say and never question it. Which is pretty tough to run a large facility and NO ONE will offer suggestions on anything....and do anything you say regardless if its wrong, and keep doing it.
Corruption, ole TriniTiger has worked in the Caribbean for years, but those Russian baws. 27 year old kid running a sub distributor, clearing 3 mil a month and frickin 20 guys in the facility with Glocks in their waistband even unnerved him. Guy hugging me up callin me his great American friend, gave me a business card if I had problems. College guide said dont call him, he will kill their whole family and their pets.
St Petersburg, some beautiful places. Wish I had run into you could have helped. I commented to my college guide the beautiful women. He said Russian women in St. Petersburg, they lost a million men in one winter keeping the Germans out, you think they give a fck about your feelings or wallet, NEVER get involved with a Russian woman.
