Good to see bureaucrats, deep state, corrupt intel officials, and regulatory agents suffer a bit

Correction: it’s 50th worst, Hawaii is worst. Point still stands

West Virginia is #1 in a good category?

Well, we Texans have nothing against the couch burners. Congrats. (Just keep looking for us in your rear view mirror)

It is better than California. So I think you will do well as a client state of the Reconstituted Republic of Texas.

I would propose a 70% wealth tax on politicians worth more than $1M! The 1% of politicians need to pay their fair share!

Ohio above the national average, but yeah Ohio residents are so pissed about that Biden is going to win that state by 8

Some pretty interesting surprises (both ways):

I would expect SC and TN to have more vigorous growth than that.

I am surprised ND is where it’s at - they completely fell off a cliff a few years ago so maybe they had nowhere to go but up.

Washington state is still an economic machine. There is probably not a similar state anywhere in terms of size that has the economic power, growth, and diversity they have. They have punched way above their weight for several decades and show no signs of slowing down when I thought they may have started faltering.

I wonder what’s driving Nevada’s growth? Could be a case like ND that they had nowhere to go but up.

The entire Midwest seems to be doing pretty damn well.

I'm sure that's going to help fortune 500 companies come rushing here and will stop the massive outmigration of population loss the last few years.

Don't kid yourself thinking that this is the work of the political twin of Edwin Edwards in the Governor's office right now.

This is in spite of his efforts.

I would imagine both are somewhat down from their recent levels because of the downtick in auto sales. I'm surprised Louisiana is doing that well. Based off of what I've read on this board I figured things were bleak in Louisiana lately.

SC can only whore itself out with tax credits every so often.

Why is CA’s 2.7 blue more blue than AL’s 2.7 blue?

That is a good point about SC and TN that completely slipped my mind.

LA might also be a case like ND - had nowhere to go but up after bottoming out 3 or 4 years ago.

I'd be interested to see the numbers for AL if you remove Huntsville from them.

There was a pretty big shutdown that hit DC right in the middle of those 2 quarters. Kinda surprising it wasn't much lower.

And the fat cats live in the Virginia and Maryland suburbs, not DC.

There is plenty of wealth in DC, mostly in the NW quadrant

Trump is draining the swamp by moving jobs out of DC and the swamp rats don't want to move. Hopefully, this hits VA, MD, and DC hard. Screw them all. And losing jobs in DC hurts DC regardless of where the employees work. They still buy gas, food, parking etc in DC and their employer rents or buys real estate there.
