That is nuts. How does an unelected advisory group require anything?

Travis County needs a new DA. Or maybe this is what they really want?

Austin isn’t Texas, it’s basically +50% Cali-transplants that brought thier radical woke thought process with them.

What is the wren collective?

It's Democrats that protect criminals and try to punish cops.

I'm getting a little nervous about TX falling to the Democratic Socialists.

Too little too late. The fact that he was even entertaining charging the officers is enough to vote him out in 28. Texas needs to take Texas back.

The Wren Collective is a policy organization founded in 2020 that describes itself as a team of former public defenders and policy experts who support elected officials, grassroots advocates and allied organizations on policy development, implementation and messaging strategy, according to its website. According to the organization, Wren focuses on what it calls “narrative change” around crime and public safety, with an emphasis on reducing reliance on the criminal legal system and addressing what it describes as root causes of crime.

The DA has a stated policy of sending all officer-involved shootings to a grand jury.

SPEEDY will vouch for me—the don’t all go to grand juries. Generally the DA only recommends shootings to a GJ when he wants to absolve himself of anyone questioning him of his decision to not prosecute. Otherwise, only the horribly bad situations go to a GJ. When a perp is shot while actively shooting it never goes to a GJ. When a perp is shot with a gun in his hand and pointed at a GJ it rarely goes to a GJ.

How can an unelected advisory group require ANYTHING? Just tell them to go pound sand and be done with it.

That'd be unfortunate.

This is someone our liberal counties, judges and DAs decided to do. It’s insane.

Since taking office in 2021, Garza has maintained a policy of presenting all officer-involved shooting cases to a grand jury.

This is going to be upsetting to the left.

A side question…

does it bother you that you voted for people like this?

I mean, are you ever going to see the error of your ways?

NYC is on a slippery slope to hell.

That had to resonate with you…no?

I don't understand why people ask progressives these types of questions. No, they possess no morals or shame. Jailing these officers for killing one of their foot soldiers is exactly what they were all hoping for.

Today they are hoping Iran continues to "win" this "war" too.
