Not excusing the jackass singing it, but knowing the guy who videoed it, he is an attention whore drama queen. Dude was balled from every fraternity, and even tried making up he was a Kappa Sig legacy to get a bid (it wasn't because he was black as there were a few in at least half the SLU fraternities). I fully believe the article saying he baited them into this.

How, in our current year, are people just now getting upset with DAC?

Saw him a couple of times and they were great shows.

It was a slow night, with only a handful of people inside of the Brown Door Bar when Nathan Monroe, a former employee, says he was so stunned to witness two employees playing and singing the song with disturbing racial content. He recorded the incident on his phone.

One employee seen in the video, who did not want to provide his name, claims Monroe encouraged the song to be played and had been making his own disturbing racial remarks that night. Those claims Monroe disputes.

Clearly, it was a setup by an attention whore trying to create drama. More fake news trying to paint all white people as racist.

Rather than getting outraged over him saying the n-word, people should be more upset that he's nibbling that little dude's ear on the album cover.

I’m sure he’s just singing Dixie in that child’s ear

David Allan Coe doesn’t actually sing the song in this story. It’s a artist that went by Johnny Rebel. Many of the YouTube videos claim it’s DAC because he had a few similar songs.

Fun fact: DAC is bald as hell and wears a wig onstage.

Correct!

People should remember the old saying...

I saw DAC at the House of Blues about 15 years ago and it was the worst concert ever. He didn't play Tennessee Whiskey, If That Ain't Country, Jody Like A Melody or Willie, Waylon & Me. He was booed for almost half the show. That's all I got.

Same thing happened to me. Been a DAC fan for a long time. Finally got to see him play at some shithole dive in Phoenix about 15yrs ago. He didn't play one song anybody had ever heard. It was awful, worst concert I've been to. Blondie did the same thing about 20yrs ago. Got booed.
