it's pretty obvious to me

Yes. RvW and rage ensuing from the Dobbs decision has undone the GOP. It's a lost cause. Abortion is a form of birth control. Maybe one day women will love little babies again and think they are cute. And maybe some day women will love men again.

Bless your heart. Turn off the TV.

The Christian far right cares too much about it. But I get it. It’s the hill they die on

It's like deciding to lose in the Superbowl just so you get a better draft pick next year.
There are reasons we win, we don't win to win.
When you win, you take the shot, you don't hold the shot back in hopes of winning again.
Shooters shoot.

The Christian far right is not fighting to make it a national past time like the progs are.

Legally (I'm no scholar) seems a sound decision, as even RBG opined that it was weak.
But YES, my heart SANK when R v Wade was overturned because I knew only that could galvanize Dem voters.
I respectfully disagree with pro-lifers, but also feel- any actions that encourage a KH victory can only bring America closer to the uptight, don't-speak-your-mind state that some European nations are fast approaching.
Is protecting (some degree of) free speech worth a million fetuses? Yes, yes I believe it is.

I'm ambivalent to abortion before 9 weeks (when it is reported the fetus can feel pain), or in cases of rape or incest.
I am in the camp that if a woman has the choice to abort a baby to avoid carrying it for 9 Mos, but a man has no opt out choice to avoid supporting it for 18 yrs after a one night stand, it makes no sense.
Religion and ethics aside.

No. It was bad law on legal grounds. Abortion is not a federal issue, and it shouldn’t be.
Political ramifications of that reality be what they may.

No, it needs to be out of federal elections.
We need more years of it being like this for people to just be like ok states rights is cool.
Then the democrats will have to run on something better. And that’s better for everyone.

The second great war is inevitable. The sooner you all understand this, the quicker we can get it over with before our children have to. A constitutional republic will never live in perpetuity without bloodshed.

We can never be a strong, moral nation, with God’s favor while we federally endorse killing our babies.
Posted on 10/30/24 at 7:37 pm to LSUbacchus81
Yes. Yes it was. It’s an unwinnable fight that the republicans just can’t help but engage in. Take your moral high ground, but it’s the damn truth. We had an opportunity to really do some good for this country and they had to go step in this pro life pile of sheet.

Oh for f’s sake. Shutup. There is so many other moral soap boxes you can go stand on you’re gonna pick the one that will piss off half the nation?

Abortions have gone up slightly since row was correctly killed.
