Hypocrite

quote:

Matthew 6:1-4:

"Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them.

If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven... So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets—as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you

Wholeheartedly disagree with this statement. I don’t want anyone going hungry but we don’t have hungry people in the United States. I don’t care what article you show me or video. We are so full our own people don’t even feel the need to work in many cases. It’s laughable anyone confuses hunger with the United States. It’s bullshite.

I would be willing to bet anyone on this board could walk to a house or two and have all they need to eat for days. This is a fact because if someone came to your door hungry you’d feed them. It’s a double fact in Louisiana. I don’t care how shitty if a state we have become but no one starves here, no one. Every person I know would give food locally to prevent anyone locally from being hungry.

At a certain point you stop feeding the hungry lazy.

But you have to ask.

Argentinas poor need the money much more.

I bet you wouldn't do that if you realized he is most likely homeless due to drug abuse and not through actual financial hardship

The majority of truly homeless on the street like that guy are on drugs or need a psych ward. The "homeless" due to financial hardship are in section 8 houses or getting assistance in some form.

Paul's writings were to Christians. There are a shite ton of people in America who are not professing Christians. Do you abandon them? I think it's good to bring the Gospel and some food.

Do we abandon the poor even if it's their fault? Obviously, we can't give them everything but I do wonder to what degree we should help them.

Why do you keep ignoring this?

Laziness is contrary to Christian living

2 Thessalonians 3:10–12 — “For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: ‘The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.’ … Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat.”

1 Timothy 5:8 — “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”

We see you are just trolling but at least try to act like you are truly Christian for the sake of the troll

You are a TDS-infected clown, an alter, a paid shill or some combination.

Good luck with it.

Oh I am VERY familiar with Christian charity because I live it. I have provided for a young man who is not my blood or responsibility for three years and counting. My GF spends a day a week at the food bank feeding people. St Thomas More gets my weekly donations and the second collections to feed the poor. I employ someone. I provided for a family for 25 years. I pay taxes, payroll taxes, property taxes, sales taxes, capital gains taxes, etc?

What have you done, you phony little puffed up fart?

Double bingo.

I don’t understand how this concept is foreign to many NCC’s.

Hell, even the Mormons are heavy in works and they believe in some far out shite.

None of this is accurate at all, get your facts correct for one, Trump cut programs that were and are fraudulent of which many democrats voted with Trump on that including Fetterman. The issue is the 800 Billion subsidy that Obamacare needs to stay afloat. It’s making the insurance companies very wealthy but Trump cut it and said that it should be on its own like Obama promised and the democrats said it would generate its own funds of which it has not and premiums are going up like crazy. So you see almost 1 Trillion for a program that was BS from the start. I work and pay for my health insurance and it is not a right as democrats say. Democrats are the problem.

Your entire premise is false.

Jesus' message was to individuals because only a person has a soul to save.

Governments have no souls. There is no message for them. Stop conflating government decisions with being Christian.

By their fault you mean being a junkie?

I take it you have never been exposed to junkies on a large scale.

No matter how much you help or give them, they will still steal from you.

I have hired 100s over the years as temp help from a sober living facility and very few have ever made it more than a year before falling off the wagon, going to jail for something, etc

They have stolen from me. One broke into one of my rentals after he was kicked out of the facility because he knew where my rental was and stole copper and my A/Cs. This was after I helped him a lot.

Its very sad but I have a feeling if you ever dealt with them more, your bleeding hart would change
