For my money the most disconcerting feature of the world the left has created is the elimination of truth and factual information. Every day they erase a little more of the map and replace it with their nonsense. I hope Trump is playing 10D intergalactic chess because what is happening feels like an existential threat.

I like to phrase it as a post factual society, but yes we are.

Yes.

I propose we’ve moved past that to a post-epistemological world. Not only do we not have objective facts, we don’t have a consistent framework to evaluate facts.

One of the reasons the Left despises Trump is that he uses their own anti-objectivity against them very deftly.

We are in the early stages of 1984.

Haven’t you heard the expression,” His/Her truth?”
Truth is now whatever you say it is.

No, we are living in a no-shame, no-consequences world where lying is accepted and acted upon, even when we all know it is bullshite. It's a weird form of self induced mass ignorance that is celebrated. Normally I'd chalk it up to getting older, but I see 45+ year old, seemingly otherwise sane adults, regularly spout the lies and logic-averse positions.

Different, but cousins to the post-truth

The problem is that you still have Republican politicians that want to play by the old rules of "statesmanship" that the dems no longer play by.

correct, which is why hypocrisy is the only sin. There are no objective standards--only the individual's. hypocrisy is the only violation for not following your own moral code.

The way they get you is by spewing nonsense and saying it's "my truth". Facts have no perspective.

I tend to agree. The real psy-op started in earnest under Cass Sunstein in Obama's Whitehouse where he introduced and legitimized proactive measures to intentionally misinform the populace. He legitimized on a national scale what had always been a much less organized strategy. He made it policy.

It’s called postmodernism. Stephan Molynieux has a very good hour-long video on it that would eliminate liberalism if every citizen in the country just took the time to watch it. The elimination of truth isn’t anything new, authoritarians have been doing it for centuries

Pontius Pilate asked Jesus, “what is truth?”

The transgender nonsense should answer this question rather easily.

We are way past that point. We cleared that during Obama's administration.

Personally, I think we are living in a post-honor world. And post-factual/truth/whatever-you-want-to-call-it is simply an outgrowth of that.

The concept of honor is dead. Honorable acts like admitting you were wrong or doing the moral thing to your own personal detriment. I can't remember the last time I saw one of our "leaders" do anything resembling that.

Everybody just wants to "win" by whatever means necessary. Lying, cheating, stealing, are all permissible in the pursuit of "winning."

Exactly. Honor is almost entirely self-regulated.
