Are theaters trying to discourage the viewing of Sound of Freedom?

One only has to watch the last golden globes hosted by Ricky Gerviace to know the answer.
Edit: probably not at the theater management level though. Likely those places can’t afford maintenance and stuffs SOF in the theater with the broken air conditioning

I really don't understand why so many people are trying to suppress the viewing of this film.

When I went to watch it they started playing Indiana Jones instead of Sounds of Freedom and the AC was off. Full theater though and plenty complained, and both were fixed.

Maybe not so much in society as a whole but plenty in the elite rich/Hollywood class who possess enough control/influence as to affect the viewing of a film.

I have to admit, this is one of the most effective marketing ploys I've seen from Hollywood in some time.
Regardless, I hope it continues to do well. We need more smaller movies having success in theaters and less CGI slogfests.
