TikTok abuzz over Sounds of Freedom shenanigans at AMC?

Sadly, the missus is on the infernal TikTok (Covid casualty).
Asks me "what is up with this movie and why is it being pulled?"
Replied "I am not aware if it being pulled."
Says that someone posted they and some friends were going to see it one evening when they were notified their tickets were being refunded.
They went to theater anyway and were told there was no air conditioning in that theater.
They told the manager they wanted to see it anyway (noting A/C was operating in lobby, etc). They were the only 4 people in the theater.
According to comments, people from all over were saying the same thing happened to them (all AMC theaters).
Yes, it's TikTok and the grains of salt are at the ready, but anyone else hearing this?

Sounds like a story full of red meat for confirmation bias, so it's likely not true.

You would have to be a very depraved human being to shut the showing of this movie. It needs to be seen by everyone who is decent and to start speaking out for more resources to save the children and bring the evil to justice.

I am not saying it is true. I am only saying it's being claimed and am asking if anyone is hearing similar stories in the "real world."

My statement stands whether it’s true or not. Several studios declined to distribute it. Disney even owned it and shelved it. This was made like 5 years ago if I recall.

Cinemark and all the Indy theaters will keep this film playing if it continues to make $$, which it probably will b/c of all the word of mpurh its getting.
AMC is mainly in large Northeast metro areas and big cities. That's not exactly this films core audimec, either.

We do know Hollywood didn’t want this movie made. It makes their preference for pedophilia look bad. The entertainment industry could easily make this movie harder to see.
