I’m not getting any of the COVID vaccines. Doing so goes against my deeply held religious beliefs, as aborted baby fetuses were used in all three vaccine developments.

I'm not. I don't see a need for it. I'm healthy.
If it makes someone else feel better if they get the vaccine, then God bless.
It's just not for me.

Will eventually get it. But would really like to see a couple years down the road for any adverse affects of it.

I have no plans to get it...but I have a doctor's visit scheduled for next Thursday. I love her, and trust her so if she suggests I get it, I probably will. Without her suggestion, I probably would not on my own.

The wife and I, 65 and 69, are passing for a while. We have a pharmacist friend who has been in the business for over 30 years and he said he isn't getting it. My 31 neighbor friend who is a nurse practitioner has traveled the country since this crap started, working the front lines of the virus and who never caught it said she isn't going to get the vaccine either because the long term results from the shot have not yet been proven.
After reading the link on here a couple of weeks ago the CDC put out about the smallpox vaccine back in the 50's and 60's about 50% who got the vaccine were susceptible to getting cancer, I'm going to wait for a period of time for any vaccine that is not yet proven for long term effects by the FDA.

How do you pick the vaccine?
I’m not too sure about an mRNA vaccine. I’m sure they’re safe, but damn, this is the first time we’re using them and putting it in millions of ppl.
Consequence = risk x likelihood
Even if likelihood of any issues, short or long-term is low, do we really want the case study to be the whole damn country?
Then there’s the ethical issues of the more normal form of vaccine by J&J.
My wife is pregnant and I don’t want her to be a lab rat testing what it does to unborn babies, so I’d like to get the vaccine for their protection. Just doesn’t seem like a good version is available to choose.

I absolutely refuse to be a guinea pig for a novel and completely untested and rushed “vaccine” that doesn’t actually vaccinate you and the government created and marketed for a virus I have a 99.999% chance of surviving

completely untested
Well that's not true, it was tested and did go through clinical trials, just in a quicker time frame than normal.

rushed
True

“vaccine” that doesn’t actually vaccinate you
What makes you think it doesn't vaccinate you? The mRNA vaccines are highly effective unless thousands of doctors and health professionals are lying.

99.999% chance of surviving
Death isn't the only consequence of COVID19. A sizeable percentage of healthy individuals have damaged lungs, reduced smell and taste that could be permanent, and other side effects that will take time to study. Could there be long term side effects from the mRNA vaccines which are a new concept that hasn't been studied long term? Absolutely. However, theoretically the mRNA vaccines should actually be less likely to cause harm versus traditional vaccines.
So based on what I know I would say that if you are an individual that is likely to be exposed to COVID19 or you have a condition that makes you susceptible to it then it is absolutely worth getting.

What Hasn’t Changed
For now, if you’ve been fully vaccinated:
You should still take steps to protect yourself and others in many situations, like wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet apart from others, and avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces. Take these precautions whenever you are:
In public
Gathering with unvaccinated people from more than one other household
Visiting with an unvaccinated person who is at increased risk of severe illness or death from COVID-19 or who lives with a person at increased risk
You should still avoid medium or large-sized gatherings.
You should still delay domestic and international travel. If you do travel, you’ll still need to follow CDC requirements and recommendations.
You should still watch out for symptoms of COVID-19, especially if you’ve been around someone who is sick. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, you should get tested and stay home and away from others.
You will still need to follow guidance at your workplace.

I got my first moderna last week. I’m fine. I had the same sore arm I get with a normal flu shot. But otherwise just fine. I’m in my 30’s. I got it because why not? If it helps me go out without a mask and all that shite I’m all for it. My thinking is just get it and be done with it and move on. Had a buddy of mine get Rona a couple of weeks ago and he said it was the worst sick he has ever been and the guy is young, healthy and works out constantly. But it put him down for over a week. So I’m not interested in that if there is a vaccine to avoid it at this point.

You can find anecdotal evidence for both sides of the argument. Young people have died from the virus and young people have died from the vaccine. At the end of the day, do what you want, not what someone guilts you into doing.

Fvck your own face ya little twat. Are you under the impression that I'm acquainted with every single person in the city I live in? I know one person who caught it. One. And he had to roll around on the ground with another dude to catch it.

You're either a goddamn liar or you live under a fricking rock.
