Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Jon Ossoff surged against California Governor Gavin Newsom in Polymarket’s 2028 Democratic presidential primary prediction market as polls continue showing a fluid race.
quote:
Ocasio-Cortez on Tuesday had a 15 percent chance of winning the nomination, up from a 9 percent chance of winning one month earlier. Ossoff, meanwhile, had a 14 percent chance of winning, more than double his chances a month earlier when he had less than a 6 percent chance of securing the nomination.
Newsom’s chances fell to 18 percent on Tuesday, from 25 percent on June 7, according to Polymarket. Former Vice President Kamala Harris’ chances held steady at around 8 percent.

What’s the big knock on Ossoff? I don’t know much about him.

Please, Lord, please let AOC be the Dems best chance! I mean, even if she wins, the seething serpent named Hillary will be apoplectic that AOC is the first female president.
It's almost worth it!

Ossoff is a progressive Georgia senator.

Their current “best chances” are the same exact “best chances” they had in 2024 (or worse, lol), plus an AOC.

AOC with no real life experience, who doesn't understand economics, policy or much else. But, she can make you a good Martini and look nice doing it. What could go wrong?

Jon Ossoff has the same issue in the Democratic party Josh Shapiro has. He is Jewish & that doesn't fly with the radical Free Palestine wing of the party. I have been saying it for years but I still think Gavin Newsome gets the Dem nomination. God help us if he is our next President.

What are his more progressive policies?

Of course you don't. He's a trust fund rich kid that never had a job. Another typical POS peddling communism.

Does not matter if she becomes the nominee. The Dems and the MSM will find a way to prop her up and annoint her as the second coming. Then if she wins the general election we will have another live "Biden" in the WH. "Just do what we tell you and read the scripts..."

Hes a Democrat, for starters.

He's a liberal count. Other than that, I like him. He wrote a bill with Chuck Grassley targeting child trafficking.

From the Dem side, he's jewish and has supported Israel in the past (though he has flip flopped some there) so he wont be popular among the masses there in the party.
He went to The Paideia School in ATL for his education which is a fairly fancy private school in ATL area; then Georgetown for BS and a school in London for masters; he's definitely on the more elitist side as you would imagine.
Being in GA and watching him, he seems like an overall pretty quiet figure honestly, I never really see him doing much and in the news and whatnot. He's been a senator since 2021 as well. He lost a close house race back in 2017 then beat David (related to Sonny) Perdue for a (U.S.) senate seat after losing to him in the general election but neither got 50% and then Ossoff won the runoff by like a razor thin margin after Perdue lost 250k votes from the general election and he only lost 100k from the general election (D's showed up). Young guy, not even even 40 yet.
