CNN STORY - so probably false

All the major news outlets are saying it is at capacity and sending COVID patients home to die. I'd like to hear some first hand accounts if possible because when all the media is running with something it's 100% a lie.

Let me just mention that this Texas based article came before CNN decided to run with a fear article:

But it would definitely be best to hear from someone working there or at least see what the diversion reports for the state say.

They would transfer patients to the nearest facility. Sounds like BS.

They have 48 licensed beds..and only 2 operating rooms...they only had 880 discharges in 2019, about 2 a day... Their average daily census is 8 patients. They are less than 1/2 the size of St. Elizabeth in Gonzales.

What they don't tell you is they are being overrun with Mexican illegals. THAT is the problem.
This hospital is tiny, this article is misleading, and this is not a big deal.

Starr county has 1600 confirmed cases with 20 deaths.

The county does not give recovered, hospitalized, icu or active.

Border county.

Here is something you can pin to your dashboard and drill down to up to date State level info on.

At this moment Texas has only 77% of hospital beds on the floors utilized..with only 29% of those being Covid patients.
81% of ICU beds occupied.

The media are fear mongering idiots.

HHS State level info

1600 total cases. Probably 1500 recovered. 100 cases so probably about 5 or less that need to be hospitalized due to the cov

The most deaths Starr County has seen in one day due to Covid is 4.

They have had 22 deaths total beginning over one month ago.

Backing into some numbers, they should’ve had around 3300 cases total since around June 10th. A total of 148 hospitalized in that time frame. Around 50 at a time.

They have seen recent spikes in cases. They are averaging ~50 new cases per day over the last two weeks. That should result in around 30 new hospitalizations.

I talked to a reporter from Hidalgo County which is next door to Starr County. She was at that hospital 2 days ago and what they’re doing is allowing terminal patients to go home to die versus dying alone in the hospital.

They’re not allowing people to die.

You took the time to type this out, so I am safe to believe you truly believe this shite?

Do you realize that there are several factors that can render a hospital "overwhelmed?"

Many hospitals furloughed and downsized when the Wuhan hit. Those people naturally found other employment. Now, they've been hit by an influx of patients that they don't have to staff to adequately treat.

They can be "at capacity" and still have 200 beds open if you don't have the staff on hand to treat them.

Actually did have a “text” conversation with a reporter for CBS4 and NBC23 covering the RGV. That was her response.

You and the reporter you spoke with both actually believe there is now medical information to predict one “COVID” is terminal over another? At what point is one considered terminal, when they’re no longer breathing from one of the tens of thousands ventilators stocked yet not needed, when they’re lying in hospice perishing from a pre-existing condition, cancer victims not being able to seek chemo/radiation due to this colossal hoax, or when Dr Fauci confirms some particular strand of this virus is deadlier than the others?

Do you truly believe hospitals are sending “terminal patients” home? All bullshite aside.
