Why would he first start by just getting the vaccine that isn't necessary for anything more than keeping a job now?
Try the medical exemption, then try the religious exemption, and lastly get the vaccine if all else fails and you absolutely can't make it without the job for a while. Be an absolute pain in the arse for your POS employer. Even if you're not super religious, write it up as though you are and do your research on it. The person who will approve or deny likely has no idea who you even are and can't prove one way or another.

- How to screw up billing
- How to advise people to do things that end up trapping them in the medical system
- How to ignore input from the patient

We had a guy get a drs note and HR accepted it. Unfortunately he was required to wear a mask at all times when he was around other employees, also he had to submit to regular testing.
He's no longer with the company.

Sounds like you need a new doctor. Also possibly new insurance.

No, this is the standard industry practice.
Also, I don't see doctors anymore. I got away from western medicine about 6 years ago and I am healthier than ever. You would be best to ignore about 99% of what they say.
And FYI. That herbal stuff that we all tend to laugh at as "hocus pocus" medicine (including me for most of my life) works a thousand times better than most pharmaceuticals.

They may try to fight it on the basis of "insubordination". Keep any emails they send you (send them to your home computer) because you may need them. I knew someone who was let go due to "not working out" and the employer tried to argue firing for that, she had all the proof and they had to pay benefits.

It’s times like these that I am super grateful that my sister is a pharmacist and I have options. I hope there is some sort of solution that can be found to everyone facing terminations.
