Men aren’t typically as emotionally “needy” as women are. The article seems to see men and women as equally emotionally needy, but because of implied cultural toxic masculinity, men don’t have a good outlet for their emotions so they burden women.
Because its written from a feminist perspective and the authors have no clue what masculinity means.

This discussion has very little to do with genetics. This is a sociological/cultural problem
No it’s not. Women have never wanted to date ugly or short men. This isn’t new.

Whats "ugly" or "short" is contextual. People will date a short/ugly person by western standards provided it fits the community they live in.
Women are not exactly as simple as money/looks.

I would say that being a spouse to anyone is emotional support. Pretending it's a one sided affair is ridiculous. It's been my experience that the more emotional partner often seeks reassurance and grounding from the less emotional partner. In sterotypical terms, this is usually the woman leaning on the man. You can call it a burden and use it to separate people, or you can understand it's bonding and one of the things that brings us together. You see, we do need each other and we'll never have a healthy relationship if we tally all the duties we do for each other to see who is giving more or less.

That's not why. We have more youth participation than lots of other countries who are great at soccer. We don't develop talent because our youth system isn't built properly.

Its her assumptions of what masculinity is that makes her entire article stupid.
The men = women assumption leads to an insane number of wrong second order assumptions.
Now, think about how stupid left wing policies are given they RELIGIOUSLY follow the stupid men = women assumption.

But they would settle for those within their tier, traditionally.
Women with bad genetics would pair with men with bad genetics, and this was socially acceptable and promoted.
That doesn't exist now, and that's cultural.

The best athletes in Europe play rugby and run track. The US is usually the more athletic team. Has nothing to do with it.

You needed Hollywood movie reference to complete your Hollywood-brained thought.
Also funny to see people who think bodybuilders are "manly".
All westerners know is Hollywood stereotypes anymore. That's all everything is, a stage performance and "looking" the part.
The point flew right over your head. Yeah, it's a movie reference. So what? The character was crying and acting indecisive. That's how the modern "crisis" is playing out. A bunch of weak manchildren fretting about, playing video game and dooming about how bad the future is. That will never be the prescription for getting ahead in life.
Getting respect means being worthy of it. Earn it.

No it didn't you can only reference Hollywood when trying to make your argument.

The "women are wonderful and men need to just do better" argument is so weak and cuckold-ish.
You're absolutely TERRIFIED of criticizing women. Hardly an argument in favor of masculinity.

Maybe I’m overly optimistic, but I can’t help but think that this stuff will eventually sort itself out and we will start reverting back to a sort of historical norm. People willing to look past the current cultural noise are going to be in the catbird seat, and general society will start to figure that out.

I'm constantly criticizing feminism and the damage it has wrought.
Asking men to, "man up" is not giving women a pass. It's in recognizing that men ultimately need to be in control of themselves first. Becoming the best version of who you are is important.
Show me a man that's complaining about his situation and I'll show you someone that isn't really trying.

It probably will, but the time period between now and then is going to have some rough spots.
This didn't happen overnight, either, and if we started right now, it would take years before we could drastically close the college sex gap. De-feminizing school to make it more equitable won't bear results for a while.

Men dont thrive on affirmation like women do. Men thrive on objective meaning. Women dont seem to understand this, and try to treat men like other women
It's been readily obvious for at least 20 years that feminism revolves around hating men and this manifests itself in the fact that they effectively Define boys and now men entirely in female terms. Feminists measure whether or not a man is good in direct relation to how much like a woman he is. Simple phrase I've seen is that today A boy is just a bad girl

Schools need to be segregated by sex.

Yep, boys are not treated for what they ARE, they're treated as ugly and violent women that are fodder for the "esteemed" feminist elites (Melinda Gates, Hillary Clinton, etc)

I've got some bad news for women of the world. Because apparently there are far too obtuse to notice. But every fricking right they have is because men allow them to have them. I don't say that because it's what I want. I say it because it's reality. Because men want women they're willing to do nearly whatever it takes to keep women happy. But feminists seem to have completely missed this paradigm. They seem to think that if they render men unnecessary that the result will be female empowerment. Quite the opposite is exactly what will happen. Because at the end of the day men are still bigger and stronger. I think people in modern society tend to forget this reality but it's reality nonetheless. You want to live in a world unsafe for women? I can tell you exactly how to accomplish that. Live in a world where 50% of the men no longer give a frick about women. And to that end feminist have started down a road that AI is going to finish. The more men don't need women because women don't provide what men need the more dangerous the world becomes for women. That's why it's so hilarious when I see feminists argue that men aren't necessary. I'm like bitch you live in a city and you would starve to death inside of 5 minutes without men!
